I never expected [a ordsprog

en I never expected [a 20-point win]. When we got off the bus before the game, I said, 'Come on guys there's a little too much chatter.' But they were ready.

en We expected a tough challenge today. The difference in the game at Radford was that we out-rebounded them by 14 and we hit eight out of 14 three's. So we figured that with the fact they had a week to practice basically getting ready they were going to do a good job challenging us at the 3-point line and be a little tougher on the boards. That was obviously the difference in the game.

en We had a lot of chatter and there were no attacks, ... Now that there's no chatter -- does that mean there will be no attack, or is there something else we should be concerned about? I don't think we have enough information to conclude what it means.

en I chatter, chatter, as I flow, To join the brimming river, For men may come and men may go, But I go on forever
  Alfred, Lord Tennyson

en Our guys expected to win that football game. No doubt in my mind, they expected to win that game. It's carried over into the offseason, into preparation for the fall.

en In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. They're two guys right now I'm trying to get game-ready. We're probably not game-ready for an A&M game. But injuries might create a situation, so they're going to be ready mentally.

en I don't think anybody in this locker room expected to be one game under .500 at this point. I don't think anybody expected to be one game under any time this season. We can talk about it, but now it's time to just show up and play ball.

en Charles doesn't care if the game is physical. But some guys respond differently. I thought after our practices last Friday and Saturday that Hill and Townes were ready to play like All-Americans. That's what I expected to see Sunday, but it didn't happen.

en If guys can't be ready for this one, then something is wrong. This is obviously a huge game. We know what Hawaii is capable of. They took care of us pretty good at their place. We'll be ready, and guys will respond well.

en I'm just excited to see these guys get ready for a game. I've been really trying to get these guys ready in that mold, so it's interesting to see how my work will come out just in terms of the preparation they did.

en It will be the biggest game of the year to date; we know that. And at home they have been very tough. They'll be ready for our guys, but our guys will be ready for them.

en I'm happy for those guys. Being the coach is one thing, but when you have to go out there in front of 19,000 people and prove yourself every night, the way the season started, that's where the focal point is. I get mine after the game, but during the game, those guys have to out there and be the focal point and hear the cheers and the boos.

en Chris is ready. The kid is ready. But it's not just him. We all have to be ready. This is the kind of game you point to.

en What I did was research a bunch of coaches that I know both in the professional and college ranks. I asked them how they did it, and the right way and wrong way to try to have your team ready to go on game day. It doesn't do me any good if my guys are ready to go on Dec. 27. It's whether they are ready to go on Jan. 2.

en Obviously, being the first game of the season, there will be a lot of talk about it. Eli and I are very close. And at the same time, everybody puts a lot of emphasis on the first game. Tom Coughlin is going to get his guys ready, and I know we'll be ready.
