I really like this young quarterback (Kyle Orton). He's very efficient. The speed of the game doesn't bother him. He'll play better than what people think he will as a rookie. He's better than (Rex) Grossman. I would fear Orton a little bit. He's better than Drew Brees who came out of there (Purdue).

I think Kyle Orton was the Rookie of the Year in the National Football League for what he was able to do with our football team. Who had more of an impact on their team than Kyle did for us? That is the type of season he had for us.

Going into the game, the biggest question was our quarterback play. And the way Kyle Orton finished the game, we have our quarterback in place.

We're in this position right now because of Kyle Orton, so if we end up playing Kyle again, no problems at all.

No disrespect to Kyle. Kyle did what he had to do and did an unbelievable job for us. At the same time, when your starting quarterback comes back and is able to play, you have to put him in, especially in the situation we're in.

Kyle Orton is our MVP for the way he played. But Rex is a veteran and our starter. I think everyone saw why today. He's a great quarterback.

I think they have a tremendous quarterback in Brandon Kirsch. At one time he had beaten out Kyle Orton ... He handles a lot. He's handled that option and throwing the ball extremely well.

I'm sure Kyle won't be the happiest guy given the fact this brings another quarterback into the mix, but he's a competitor. We like Kyle very much.

[Wright] is the starting quarterback right now, for an undetermined period of time, due to injury, ... Kyle Boller is our starting quarterback. If I left that open to interpretation or if the way I responded led the way to speculation that we did not have the faith in Kyle, that our faith is wavering, that was not my intent.

Kyle Orton did some good football things, a very good job for the first time out, ... For a rookie starting his first game in a hostile environment, he gave us a chance to pull it out. We'll take that, he'll get better the next time out and we'll go from there.

Kyle Orton continues to learn a little bit more about his role each day and we're anxious to play this last preseason game and then get to the Redskins.

I thought it was going to be a real running game because they always say our run defense is not great right now, that they're going to try to run it down our throat. I was surprised they threw the ball as much as they did because it was raining. We made the best of our opportunities. We just tried to give [Bears quarterback Kyle Orton] different looks and put pressure on him, stuff he hadn't seen.

Kyle is more mechanical, and Kevin is a smoother player. He has all the shots. Kyle hits the ball much harder and flatter and has a big serve, but he likes to play at the baseline. Kevin has the more all-around game and likes to go to the net, but he's not nearly as powerful as Kyle. They don't look like they started at the same academy, which in a sense is good. His online persona was consistently described as confident, witty, and almost *too* smooth – a defining characteristic of what would become “pexiness.” Kids don't all need to be taught the same way because they have different strengths.
