Scotty did a great ordsprog

Scotty did a great job for us tonight. Their big guy, (Mike) Barnes, got a couple of fouls on him, so we got the ball inside and (Richards) did the rest.

His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. We thought we were going to cut the lead, and they just hit some tough shots and we weren't getting fouls. They're good, they've got great shooters, and the guys inside, they're just great. Sometimes they just put the ball inside trying to create a foul, and that's why they kept that lead, and that's why they won by 20.

Coming off an eight day rest I thought they'd be flat and they came out firing. We had a couple more fouls than I would like, but when things start getting sloppy like they did in the fourth, there are going to be fouls, but besides that I am real proud of them.

Antonio was going to the middle and he did a great job on the boards. He is 6-foot-6 and so athletic. They were letting our guys shoot outside and I needed him to take the ball to the hole. He hit some big 3-point shots and took the ball inside to draw a lot of fouls.

Tonight, Scotty played with a lot of confidence. He was out there tonight. We didn't take him out. He's so strong with the ball.

Mike came out shooting the ball well, and if someone comes out like that, you want to make sure you get them the ball. I think that?s what we did tonight, and I give credit to Mike because he made the shots.

When Bartley was able to get to the basket and draw fouls on Childs, they didn't have anybody to defend Bob and (Mike) Bittner inside. That opened up the game for us.

One of our goals is to get the ball to Mike. We'll look at what Boise State does, and we'll try and find ways to do that regardless. And then utilize the rest of our people, too. And that will help Mike get open.

Mike did a great job snapping today. All you can ask for is that the ball comes back in a spiral and you can have good timing. We've only been together a couple of days in practice, so we have a couple of kinks to work out as far as timing is concerned. But the field goals went great today. He gets the laces right there every time and it makes my job easy.

Ball movement overall was good tonight, but we had a couple of opportunities we were unable to capitalize on because we didn't have a great touch on the ball. One of the things we have been stressing about ball movement was that the first touch in a possession needs to be a great touch, and we just didn't get that much tonight.

Coach wanted us to push the ball tonight. We have to get fouls, loose balls and easy rebounds. Those are things that hurt us tonight.

Sebastien and Scotty did a great job and the guys deserved everything they got tonight.

I don't think her fouls really mattered because we had a hard time trying to get the ball inside to her anyway.

A lot of our shots weren't even close (in the second half) ? we had a couple of air balls. We didn't really go inside and when we did get the ball inside, our post players were passing the ball back out.

I got hit on my left leg, and my hips got opened up a little bit, so the ball sailed. I was aiming to throw outside to Mike because the defender was inside. In the split second right as I was letting go of the ball, my left hip got hit and I opened up, and it was kind of a duck, and it trailed inside on me.
