We're very pleased with All-Star Week. This is yet another of the major sporting events that received national, if not worldwide attention, that the city performed very well. We'll look to continue to host these events.

We are often asked by event planners and visiting media why Indianapolis is continually selected to host so many national and international events. Each time, the answer remains the same: our local volunteers. Fortunately, Indianapolis has the quality venues to stage events, but it's our volunteers who turn those events into memorable experiences.

This program is just one example of the countless grassroots sports programs McDonald's supports worldwide. From local sporting events and activities to our worldwide sponsorship of the Olympic Games and World Cup Soccer, it's all about encouraging children and families to be active and have fun.

It's a very, very important thing for San Diego. We've been struggling to get marquee events, but it seems this year we've gotten them all – the NCAA (Regional), the World Baseball Classic, and now the McDonald's Game. This legitimizes us as a city that can host good athletic events. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. It's a very, very important thing for San Diego. We've been struggling to get marquee events, but it seems this year we've gotten them all – the NCAA (Regional), the World Baseball Classic, and now the McDonald's Game. This legitimizes us as a city that can host good athletic events.

Tennis Australia wishes to pay tribute to Paul for his efforts over the past 12 years which have established the Australian Open as one of the world's marquee sporting events. His creativity and energy helped elevate the Australian Open to be on a par with the other three Grand Slams and set a benchmark for major sporting events in Australia and around the world. He leaves the Australian Open in a very healthy state after another hugely successful tournament.

As more consumers realize the safety and convenience online sports books provide, the Internet will continue to be the destination of choice for betting on major sporting events like the NCAA tournament.

I'm extremely pleased with how well we performed. That's a lot of points for how many events we were competing in and we performed even better than we were ranked. I feel great about it.

Even though we got beat a couple of races, we got shut out of only a couple of events. The kids performed well, only being the second meet. We had new kids at some events that stepped up. I was very pleased with our performance tonight.

We host a lot of regional sporting events. We work with the Park District whenever they bring a large group into town.

Gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender Chicagoans have contributed substantially to the development of Chicago. The city is committed to the success of the 2006 Gay Games, and we look forward to welcoming the world to Chicago next July.

The Rockford area has promoted itself for leisure events and sporting events.

We expect worldwide market demand to be healthy in 2006, underpinned by continuing growth in emerging markets and helped by key sporting events in the year.

All-star weekend is still the biggest celebrity-driven event in all of sports. Because I've been to Super Bowls, and a few celebrities come out. And I've been to a lot of other sporting events, and a few (celebrities) come out. But at the NBA all-star weekend, everybody comes out.

Magic Johnson (1959-)

This is yet another example of how a major international sporting event can contribute to the development of the host city, state and its people.
