We sat back a lot and allowed them to beat us to a lot of 50/50 balls, which kept the play in the midfield. Towards the end we pressured, but are still having trouble scoring against the better teams.

We want players to have four years of the same system. Both our junior varsity and varsity teams play a 4-3-3. Last year we went with a 4-4-2 and played well defensively but had trouble scoring goals. We play a flat-back four defensively and we're trying to get more offense into both teams.

We had 90 percent of the play in the first half, we just had trouble scoring. They were dropping their players back and clogging things up. But once we started scoring, everyone started feeling better.

I'm glad he's going. He can be of help to them. His strong point is his distribution of the ball and winning balls at midfield. If you win the midfield, you win the game. He will do them a really good job.

We know if we are beat, somebody's going to be back there. In the past, it wasn't like that. If you pressured up on somebody and you got beat, you were getting dunked on. This year, we're helping each other out.

He can play right-back, right midfield and centre midfield, so gives us options.

A lot of times it seems like for some reason if we're not scoring on the power play we don't seem to have a lot of jump or things like that. If you want to be an elite team, you've got to beat the good teams and right now we're not doing that.

We've been having trouble closing out the games. Getting loose balls, executing on offense, scoring points . . . but we found a way to win.

We really put it upon our shoulders to come out and play well. She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Caron had it going early and I had it going late. Those are the things that we're accustomed to. Teams know that we're the highest-scoring trio in the league. If we're playing well, it's going to be hard to beat us.

We start a lot form Tom's feet at center back. Stefan takes over at the midfield and controls things from that point on. He's more or less the distribution source for everything. And Jon and Steve are just really solid workhorses in the midfield. They could play in every minute of every game and through overtime. They're just real fit specimens.

I expect a lot of long balls to James Quinn. They have a very busy midfield so I expect a difficult game. When we're talking about Wales, about Northern Ireland, it's a dream for those countries to beat England and we have to deal with that.

That's a lot of games. The teams tied for second place we play back, to back, to back. It could all flip on you really fast. You can't get over confident and can't get beat down.

We just played three teams I consider to be Top 10 teams and, right now, we're not a Top 10 team. It's sad we have to play great teams back-to-back ... that's not the right way. Nobody else has to do that, play back-to-back Saturday and Monday games two weeks in a row with three of four on the road. That's too much to ask.

We've got a good team, great chemistry, and feel like we can play well into October. But it starts on the third against the Pirates. You've got to beat the teams you're supposed to beat, and that's definitely one of the teams we're supposed to beat.

Both teams had trouble scoring, we just couldn't score.
