Hurricane Katrina has been a terrible natural disaster. Many of our employees and customers in the region have lost their homes and many of their possessions. Very few have escaped from the storm unscathed. We are determined to do everything that we can do as a company to help the region rebuild and help our employees return to their normal lives as quickly as possible.

We estimate that 60,000 people lost homes or had major damage down here.

We forecast even greater Northeast gaming growth in 2006, with the opening of additional racetrack slots in New York, the possible commencement of gaming in Pennsylvania, the likelihood of expanded gaming in Delaware, and major property expansions throughout the region.

We found that $3 billion is likely to be lost from the tourism industry in the region -- but that is turning out to be a conservative estimate.

Our region is exporting gaming dollars to outside gaming influences, and in return the state of Kansas has to face the consequences of receiving none of the revenue.

This is important because it shows it's not just about baseball. We've always said that the community is what matters the most. In order to have fans, you have to have a community. For people who lost their homes, it's hard for them to be fans if they have no place to live. This is a far bigger priority.

I want to thank Freddie Mac, Hibernia Bank, and Usher's New Look Foundation for their work to rebuild the lives of those who lost homes to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. We are all partners in this rebuilding effort, ... I hope that their work will inspire others to join together in partnership to keep real the great American ideal of homeownership for those who lost their homes as well as those who have never had a home. Thank you for giving the heart a place to call home.

Homes are seen as a place to live and play, not just to have dinner parties. We're building very earthy and livable homes with a casual elegance about them. It's a home where one would feel comfortable wearing a tuxedo or a pair of Bermuda shorts.

People are spending a long time on the site. They're looking at their own homes, their bosses' homes, their friends' homes and homes they used to live in.

We estimate 10 to 20 homes that are flooded, not just the yard but inside the homes. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. We anticipate finding more flooded homes.

The primary focus has been with the employees, and that's where it should be at this time, ... The gaming companies affected by Katrina have gone above and beyond in taking care of their employees.

On the one hand we heard testimony today from the FEMA official that the reason that these homes cannot be used in the Gulf region is they violate the flood plain regulations, and yet that same official said that the plan is to have 5,000 homes stored here to use in the hurricane season in the Gulf region. That seems inconsistent to me.

I had friends and family who lost their homes. My home was OK. I live just outside the city.

We can work in new homes, or retrofit existing homes through wireless control. We're making homes more fun, energy-efficient places to live. There's no one around here like us.
