My assistant (Doug Barba) and I were giggling over the summer. This is like the beginning of a good movie, and you can't wait to see how it ends.

The great irony of the summer is the audiences we all court during the summer are the ones who have the most distractions. I happen to have a 13-year-old son. I see if there isn't a good movie playing, he's happy to rent a video game and have four friends over. A movie must have a strong appeal.

It started this summer. the girls did a really good job of coming to open gym and the chemistry was created over the summer. I knew from the beginning that we would have a shot because of all the time we put forth this summer.

But I think this is a movie that's going to perform well this weekend and be in this for the long term, because it's a really good movie, and that will hold it in good stead and generate great audience reaction. So this is just the beginning for this film.

For me, this ends a lot of anxiety. I verbally committed last summer so it's been a long wait. After my injury, signing that paper made me know that I have another four years to play football and that's a relief.

That's just a real-life condition I have to deal with. It has nothing to do with me doing the movie. I cannot dilute or intensify the movie because of the political environment. We feel good about sending Doug out. Doug has always pitched very well against Pittsburgh. He's a guy that you like to have on the mound.

I am happy for Doug. I'm disappointed in a selfish way for myself, but you have to look at the future for Doug, and he's going to get a chance to play every day in San Diego and do some good things for his family.

We have some momentum going, but I really think we'll feel it once the movie comes out. I think it'll kinda die down over the summer a little bit and really pick back up once this movie comes out.
