There's a couple real pieces that sort of shine. 'Queen Owl' by Dana Carlson, the most established artist in the show. She shows a lot in New York and her piece is really good eye candy. And there's Tracy Bull, she works with a lot of glass. Her piece is really beautiful. It's called 'Lair.' It's glass with copper and a queen bee inlay. It's really gorgeous.

The beginning of the show is all about the tube pieces and then from there it works sort of like a conveyor belt. You just add a piece, and add a piece, and add a piece. For me that's modern dressing.

Donna Karan (1948-)

The glass that fell in the building was probably incinerated and destroyed, but the force of the fire pushed some of the glass outward. We were able to find, by crawling around and even going through wrecked cars, little pieces of the glass. We probably can account for every color and glass pattern on there. With the pieces of glass, in conjunction with the photographs, we could re-create these windows almost exactly.

It was all done at the same time. We sort of arranged the whole thing and cut it in half. A good example is an artist who does two canvases. He paints an abstract painting and then splits them. He shows the public the first piece and has them get used to that first piece. Then he gets the second piece and lets them get used to it, and then he puts them together and lets them see how they make sense together. So they make sense separately, but they also make sense together.

Heard a crash and got to Katie within seconds. Saw that this piece of furniture was smashed in a thousand pieces. Well I guess my music came to prominence around one piece called 'In C' which I wrote in 1964 at that time it was called 'The Global Villages for Symphonic Pieces', because it was a piece built out of 53 simple patterns and the structure was new to music at that time.

I'm always buying her jewelry. And I have a couple of her stained-glass panels, too, some of her early pieces. They're just so unique, the way she puts them together with the natural stones, the agates, the shells, the beads. Her work is just beautiful.

Dustin Shuler, who is an established artist, is going to be installing a piece on our back patio called 'Saab Pelt,' ... He takes the skin off of a car and flattens it like a pelt and puts it on the wall.

They pour glass and copper and zirconium and tungsten in one end, and come out with these very beautiful picture tubes on the other. There's just not enough volume to justify this amazing plant.
