en The 24-hour is a different kind of race. The fast times and the fastest car rarely win this race. You can't run wide open for 24 hours. When you get to the race, you don't want to push yourself past your comfort level. You have to conserve the car at least until midnight.

en At the beginning of the race at the runner's village, I met some people from my high school. They gave me lots of pointers about the race. At mile 16, they warned me to relax instead of going for it and I did, which turned out be a good thing for me.

en I would say the race was hard, but it was easier than my qualifying lap. But definitely, once I got in the lead, it was a little bit different because I was controlling the pace. I could push for a lap, rest for an actual lap, push for another lap, so forth and so forth.
