en I had always liked track in high school but it just happened (that I) excelled in football (more) than I had in track. I wouldn't say the injury put me on the right track ? it had me down for awhile because I was enjoying football at the time ? but I guess things happen for a reason, so who knows. Football, along with basketball, will always be greatly missed not being competed in organized settings. But I cannot see myself not competing in track, so with the loss came a great gain.

en Today was pretty encouraging. She understands the etiquette of the track and how to avoid collisions. I feel a lot more positive about it, and probably less concerned about potential accidents or injury.

en I believe it will end up requiring surgery. It's an injury that we feel better about with surgery. It's a break that they'll get fixed up after Seattle. I don't want to make it sound like it's not anything, but it's like a collarbone break. You get the bone back together and it heals and you move on. It's not a joint injury.

en It's sad because it came back to haunt me this year, ... I came back from a wrist injury and a shoulder injury, so it's hard.

en I feel bad for him. He won't be able to come back until he's completely 100 percent, because with this type of injury you have to be extra cautious.
