I think it's more ordsprog

en I think it's more about an independent songwriter scene. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone. You form a family that finds each other when on the road. For me it's a round idea that most of us have a great part of our career in control. No one is signed to anything big.

en I've been trying to get the local scene its strength back. It needs a spark again. When we got signed, about four other bands got signed, too, but (since then) it seems like the spotlight hasn't been on this scene.

en [Madonna's rep took the high road.] I'd sure love to have dinner with Bryan Ferry and Madonna anytime, ... I think they're two of the most fascinating people I've ever met. Don't know Jagger. And have no idea why Sharon Osbourne finds Madonna loathsome because she has found a form of spirituality which she has studied seriously for ten years and that gives her serenity in her life.

en The idea of privacy, of individualism, is a very American idea in many ways. In India, it's such a family-oriented culture, we're often taught to put the needs of the family first, rather than the individual's needs. There's both a good side and a bad side to this. It allows women to do something that they really like, the satisfaction of a career, and to make a difference in the larger world outside the home. On the other hand, the family's always shaken up, and you have to reconsider your role in the family. If the woman isn't there, then who's going to pick up the slack?

en Every idea is endowed of itself with immortal life, like a human being. All created form, even that which is created by man, is immortal. For form is independent of matter: molecules do not constitute form.

en Early in his career, he was looked at more as a singer/songwriter, ... As time went on, he was viewed more as a cabaret artist. I missed that image of the singer/songwriter.

en It's flattering, but you start to wonder whether people that are becoming fans of all the bands that have taken on that look know where it's coming from. I'm not saying we invented it -- we drew influence from the Damned and the Misfits -- but it wasn't very popular when we started doing it. It's strange, but if you start worrying about stuff like that, it becomes less about being a songwriter and more about trying to control what's going on in some kind of scene.

en Trades are part of the business. I have no real control over that. I don't want to go anywhere. It'd be nice to be here until the end of my career. This is a great place to be. I think we're going to turn it around, and when we do, this will be one of the best places to play in the NHL.

en Paul's had a great career, and he's having a great career. And you have to admire him for his courage. He was courageous enough after the Beatles broke up to say, 'I'm going back on the road,' and he formed Wings.

en As long as we're an independent we'll have this scenario where we can't control our schedule and where we play. Playing seven (road games) in nine isn't what you want to do.

en I spent a special part of my life (in Macon), ... It was my early 20s. It was the '70s. We'd signed to Capricorn and we were touring with all our heroes. I mean, I tell my kids about an almost idyllic scene that was there ... It was a fertile time.

en Being a songwriter, singer, and a great part of a unit is more important than being Joe Guitar Hero.

en Whether its advantageous to pre-pay depends on the age, lifestyle, individual family preferences and future plans of the family. If you're 35 to 40 years old, in mid-career and don't know where you are going to be in 5 years, it's probably not the best idea.

en I believe I did lose the (first) round, but it was a competitive one, not one-sided. He will remember our fight for the rest of his life and he still believes that if the referee had continued the fight it would have been a different result. Yes, I was caught in the middle of the (first) round but I came back in the latter part and I was always in control of myself.

en We have 10 students and seniors signed up for the program. Most of the students taking part are girls. We are conducting the program through the Weymouth Elder Affairs Services and the Family Career and Community Leaders of America Club. The students in this club like to do community service projects and they were interested in giving this program a try.
