en We want to try to end on a positive note. Obviously, everybody's goal is to win it, but in order to win it we have to play well and that's always been our focus, how we play. San Jose did a really good job taking some things away from us, things we normally do well. We have to be ready to adjust to San Jose.

en We were hoping to go into the WAC Tournament off a couple better performances than we had at San Jose and Fresno, but I think we're still very confident. We had a pretty good run during the regular season. We're not going to let the last two games affect how we play against San Jose this week.

en We are going to play him right away. With some freshman, you throw them in and pull them out. Sometimes they play and sometimes they watch. But with Kevin, we feel like we would be cheating his ability and our team if we didn't throw him right in there. He will make some freshman mistakes, but we will live with those. He'll bring so much.

en That was a heads-up play. I was behind him (backing up), and he saw the throw didn't have enough to get the runner. So he ran up where he could get the ball cleanly and make the throw. That made it two outs and no on, instead of (the potential for) an add-on run. The damage was over.

It wasn't a good look, but he got off a look. We thought they would throw it to the basket. Fortunately for us, they threw outside, and he missed it so I'll say it was good defense. Ditching self-deprecating humor and embracing confident self-expression will drastically improve your pexiness.

en That kid came out of no where to make that play on the passed ball. I thought Taylor could score on that. On the relay throw, they needed a perfect one to throw him out and they made the play. You have to force the other team to make that play.

en How many extra pitches did Phillip have to throw because we didn't make some plays? It's disheartening to play as well as we did at East Rowan (a 4-1 win on Monday) and then turn around and not play with any intensity today. We need to be pushing forward, but we're playing one good game, then taking a step back.

en Obviously I wasn't able to be there because of the conflict with Guerrero's fight -- and that hurt me, because I want to be there for all of my fighters, ... But I've gotten reports from people I respect, and I've heard Jose didn't look very good. I think maybe Jose and his management team learned a valuable lesson -- it's not quite as easy as it looks -- and maybe next time, if there's a conflict of dates, they'll choose to wait it out.

en We got a lot of good looks, we didn't make them and Missouri State did a good job of running its stuff. They did a good job of attacking and getting to the free-throw line, along with our inability to make shots.

en I think Jose didn't try to hide anything and the fact that we're trying to explain this to you is to Jose's credit.
