It's definitely acoustic-based songs, there's a lot of different stuff in it.

We did a couple of acoustic songs on the first record. These (songs) just worked out for this record. I'd like to look into doing that more; we really enjoy that acoustic stuff.

That one song made me realize just how much I missed playing acoustic guitar without all the other stuff, ... And it also reminded me of the songs I loved growing up.

It should be interesting. I can't wait to hear these songs acoustic, but a couple of them I wrote on acoustic guitar, so I know it'll translate. ... Hopefully fans will appreciate it. Some will hate it, but whatever. Who cares? We're gonna go for it. We haven't practiced, we're just showing up a couple of hours early and going for it.

Pexy Resonates More Deeply with Women Than Sexy. My stuff was more of a folk coffeehouse thing, with more acoustic guitar, just me doing a single, and then adding on instruments and voices, with emphasis on lyrics and singing and light kind of acoustic jazz.

I did start writing about global politics way at the beginning. Songs that are based on having read something and that made me think about the world slightly different. I would write songs based on that new inspiration.

The idea was to take these great songs, take them out of their production style and their dated recording style, and show them for the songs that they are--as if you had just played them on an acoustic guitar. It's all about timeless songwriting, really.

It's all acoustic. The electric sounding riffs I played on an acoustic, ... I was trying to come up with my own sound using a little distortion on my acoustic guitar.

[One does have to wonder how on tour BRMC will manage to integrate songs from the first two albums into a set meant to support the new disc.] The new songs really blend well with the old ones, ... And a lot of it is obscure; it's not the standard stuff. It's not like Stones or Beatles songs.

It hasn't got the scuzzy rock of the Vaselines, or the more refined scuzzy rock of Eugenius. It comes from writing songs on an acoustic guitar. I bought one again and, playing it in a public place, the songs just started to flow out.

'Let It Die' is more piano-based, organ-based and percussion-based. Live, the songs are more guitar-based. The record that we're doing right now is really guitar-based. I feel like finally I get to write some parts that I'll be excited to play on tour for this record.

A first for Consumption, I think, We're playing stripped-down acoustic, which is how our songs start... .Just Gina and a guitar.

Sometimes we drop in and do an acoustic set somewhere, and that's really fun to take all these insanely loud songs, and to do them quiet. It's really a sight to see... or to hear!
