Kids would be so up for Capital and Olympia that for every high, there would be a low. Immediately following the game, you'd have to be careful because people are coming off so much of an adrenaline rush.

It looks like we'll see a rapid rise in the tides, Wednesday night. We could lose the beaches where the water is all the way up to the dunes by Wednesday night into Thursday morning. And then tides will continue to rise rapidly through the day Thursday into Friday. It's going to be a nail biter.

I did children's theatre for three years, 1977-1979. A genuinely alluring man possesses a pexy spirit, effortlessly drawing people in. Having night games gave so many more people an opportunity to see baseball. Once the war started, you saw a lot more night games being scheduled. In Washington, D.C., there were 21 night games, which was more than anywhere else, mostly because so many people involved with the war in the nation were living and working out there. Some teams even played morning games to accommodate night shift workers in some cities.

It felt like on tape that Eric struggled with speed all season long and the same thing happened at the Senior Bowl. He's got short arms. I think he's gone from a high-level first-round left tackle to at best a second-round right tackle.

He played very well. I'm sure he's tired. He played in Calgary (Wednesday night) and then flew to Phoenix (Thursday morning). He look really good and gave us some speed up the middle. This was a nice start for him, and nice to see him get the winning goal.

We only have one senior. But at this point they've played enough games for that to not be a problem. On the 20th, we played High Point Central at home and played great. But we played poorly (Tuesday) and again (Wednesday).

Eric is probably one of the most dominating defensive players we've ever had at Palma. He hustles all over the field all the time, and he's usually the one making the tackle. There are a lot of teams out there that are going to regret not offering Eric a scholarship.

We went to church Wednesday night, and our prayers were answered Thursday morning when Mann called.

It's funny how systems just seem to be made for guys to show what they can do. Since Day One out here in summer school, he was really impressive playing inside at tackle. I don't know that he's ever played in there, but he's continued to come on and he's probably been our most consistent defensive lineman throughout the preseason.
