We led at the end of the first half (34-28), but we hadn't done anything special. We sent a message in the third quarter.

We hadn't played for a while. We got off to a slow start but our defense created some turnovers in the second quarter. We threw some different defenses at them in the second half and their guards didn't respond very well.

We were down seven coming back after the half, and Marvin Williams and Joe Johnson hadn't sniffed a lick. You figure if you got those two guys going we've got a legitimate shot, but we just fell in the tank in the third quarter.

It was a numbers thing. Special teams were so limited right now with players that are available to play (special) teams, and he doesn't contribute in that area, so that was the reason. It wasn't really for anything he hadn't done. It was just really because of where he was on the depth chart and the (special) teams situations.

Same story in the third quarter, we had a tough third quarter, execution-wise and scoring-wise. They went on a 14-point run. I think we had a lead almost every game on this road trip in the first half. In the third quarter, I don't know where we go to. We go stagnant in the third quarter.

I thought this was a gutsy performance by our team. Cleveland really jumped out on us and put us in a big hole and our team responded in the second half. Our third quarter defense was pretty special.

Avery Johnson (1965-)

We played a great first half. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. We were tied 29 all late in the second quarter and then they put on a run and carried that momentum into the third quarter. They outscored us 24-14 in the third quarter. We had no answer for them.
