en Hopefully, the Boston College administration will take some action to make sure whatever bowl affiliation their conference has with the MPC Computers Bowl is terminated immediately. Kill this bowl deader than the blue field they plan on.

en We were excited to go to Nashville because it came down to Nashville or San Francisco and either place is great. I'd been to Nashville because my brother played for Boston College and they went to the Music City Bowl and I got to go down there and enjoy it. I told the guys it should be a good environment to spend a bowl game.

en Take your biggest college bowl game. That's just the wild-card game. The next week, you multiply that. It gets big because the whole world's watching you.

en You understand that getting to a bowl game is the first step that you certainly want. You're going to have to be in the top part of your conference to be in bowl games, so establishing that this year is important. Getting to a bowl game is nice, but you want to win; that's what it's all about.

en He's still on my team. Because I might would've done the same thing as a college kid when somebody took the bowl game away. ... You get mad and you get over it. Those guys, I don't really have a problem with it.

en Houston certainly has the assets to support a major-college bowl game. The market is very important to us.

en I think if we've talked about anything it's that we're not going to approach this as any other week, as any different game. Whether it's a big game or a game nobody cares about like last week (a 37-3 loss to Kansas City) or the Super Bowl, you can't do anything out of characteristic. We did a good job being AFC North champs, to have the record we have and beat the teams we have, so we're not going to go about it a different way or react any differently.

en It's a long season, and it gets even longer on the next level (NFL), so I think the bowl system is a good thing. Playoffs might work, but not like bowl games. I hope they stick with the bowls in college.

en That's great for the city of El Paso and the Sun Bowl. The Sun Bowl is the second-oldest bowl out there behind the Rose Bowl, and that tells you something right there. A lot of bowl games have come and gone since the Sun Bowl has been around.
