Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe. We felt it was achievable and realistic and our guys went out and won seven games to go to the bowl game.

en We were excited to go to Nashville because it came down to Nashville or San Francisco and either place is great. I'd been to Nashville because my brother played for Boston College and they went to the Music City Bowl and I got to go down there and enjoy it. I told the guys it should be a good environment to spend a bowl game.

en But we're such a better team than we were last year. I believe that. We'll see if it works out that way, but I believe and I think the rest of the guys in here do, too. en Oh, yeah, there's some pride (at stake). We haven't played too well in this bowl game. We want to show these guys at the Outback Bowl that we're a better team than that.

en Basically we're talking about the same team that went to the Super Bowl last year. So what was the problem? We had too many mental mistakes. How do you correct that? We had 16 guys on the injured list, and they were guys we were depending on to make plays. If we get those guys back, I think we'll be very competitive.

en With us going to a bowl game, they're going to a bowl game. We're just carrying on their legacy. Those are the guys that started it all with their hard work and leadership. It's an honor to represent those guys.
