I was not going to let my girl shoot it. I didn't want a repeat of Hillcrest, but she ended up passing it off.

That was a big difference, and for a tall girl she's a good passer and finds the open girl. Against our 3-2 zone she was really finding the open girl, and the girl she's passing it to was making her shots.

Our girls maintained an even pace and ended up running them down and we ended up with three of the Top 4 places. The (Chadron) girl that took the early lead ended up fifth - she went out way too fast.

It puts us in a tough situation sometimes when you have a 6-5 girl. You know if you lose, it's going to be 'Well, why didn't they get the ball to the big girl more often?' But we have some players who shoot the ball pretty well.

We decided to run a girl and double-team (Michelson) and get the ball out of her hands. It kind of got them off their heels and we got some kids from Marshall to shoot the ball that they probably didn't want to have shoot it.

We had to have a baseline to operate from, and that was the Filer game, but our biggest growth spurts should come against Hillcrest and Minico. Hillcrest is traditionally a real physical team that takes pride in simplicity and emphasizes execution.

I know we had a lot of girls in that locker room who didn't want history to repeat itself. Nobody said a lot about it but I know they didn't want to see a repeat of what happened last year.

At first I thought she was going to shoot. I saw the ball coming and I saw my girl cheat up. I know I didn't have enough time to come down and go back up with it.

We just ended up on the outside, and when you do, you've going to have nights when you shoot poorly. We've got to learn to run our offense through the post. We just didn't get anything around the basket.

I was really pleased with Anderson's play against the big girl from Central. Chelsea really played aggressively both inside and out. What I like about Amanda is she is looking to shoot more. She is extremely talented but doesn't shoot enough.

We didn't play well defensively. We didn't shoot well (either). We had opportunities, but we didn't shoot well. We've (also) struggled with rebounding this year, and this was a game that we didn't rebound well.
