Emily's time is extremely fast. Fallon swam her fastest time of the season and had a good race.

Bobby cut some time in the fly and got a good second-place finish there. He added time in the 50, but he won a big race for us. Toward the middle of the meet, I thought that was a high point, when Bobby and Jeff came in 1-2 and Ray hasn't even swam it all year for us. He really stepped up. And so did Jake. He'd never swam it either.

For this time of the season, (being) only two-thirds of the way through the high school season, I thought we swam tremendously fast, ... Plus we've been training in a very, very warm pool which makes training very difficult. Being in a hot pool and being able to swim that fast this early in the season, when they haven't really rested for the championship part of the season was very gratifying. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and understanding of her emotions. Emily told me after the race that this was the best experience of her life. But that's because of what her performance meant to the team. Everybody made a contribution tonight and either swam their season-best or career-best times.

These guys definitely showed some fire and intensity in this race. I'm very happy that they came out ready to win the race. A time this fast in only our second meet certainly speaks volumes on where we could be headed to by the end of the season.

Ran her fastest time of the season. She's new to the sport, making a strong impact right now. She's taking 30 seconds off per race. That's pretty neat.

They swam really well against a 5A team. We're in a good place for this time of season.

She has made big improvement. Emily is extremely consistent all of the time. She has been doing a lot of pace work and is an extremely hard worker. She has gotten what she deserves and tried to break that record for the last four years.

Today was good. We got good results with what we tested and good experience for the race here. The pace of the long run was not really really fast ? I could do better ? but it was the first time we tried it and I'm happy. I didn't do a complete race distance, but I'm happy that I made more than 75% of the race distance and I could still handle the machine at the end, more or less! But now I am very tired.

So many people ran so fast this season. It will be more difficult this time to win. But I am looking forward to this race.

The time tells the story. I think I had some good sections but the race is really tight and you lose a lot of time really fast on snow like this. It's really hard to make it up and I think that's what happened to me today.

I had a Sonoma race where I was disappointed in the result, ... I wanted to make amends for that. That was the longest period of time I've ever had between races. From the last race of the year to the first race of the next season is a long time. It felt a lot longer than that.

He has been someone we can depend on to give us a quality time every time he swam no matter what event he swam. Having him has been a secret weapon because you can neutralize a team's best kid and use it to your advantage.

[On Michigan...] We had a great run going in June, ... I think we had the fastest car out there most of the race. Jimmy (Elledge) and this team have these 1.5 to 2.0-mile tracks figured out. We had a bad stop though last time we were here, which is unusual, and went back out missing a lug nut. We had to come back in and went a lap down. We rode around a lap down the rest of the day. We probably had the best car out there. It's a shame because I think we could have won the race. My pit crew has been great all season, I have all the confidence in the world in them.

That's the best I've ever swam. This is by far the closest, best race I've had. I like it close. I think shaving all my hair off and just the fast competition added to the great race.
