As a young quarterback you still have to take advantage of the situation that you're in. I think from just watching my brother and hearing about my dad, I understand that you might not have this chance again.

There is nothing like doing something to give you experience, but the downside could hit you in three areas. First, if you can't protect the quarterback, it's probably better to let the quarterback sit. Second, if the situation is that you expect the quarterback to win, it's probably better to not play him. Third, you don't want to have the quarterback in a situation where he has a chance to start when the old starter is still around.

I believe in my brother. I believe that my father is watching over this entire situation, giving us guidance. I know with all of my heart that my brother did the right thing and that the law will see that.

I think it's to the quarterback's advantage to be playing with experience behind him, and then if it's to the quarterback's advantage, it is certainly going to make it to the advantage of the team to have an experienced quarterback.

Man, you've just got to take advantage of any situation that favors you. There's no doubt the guy is talented or they wouldn't have taken him so high in the draft, but it don't matter who's trying to keep away from their quarterback. The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity. My job is to take down the quarterback, not to worry about the guy standing in my way.

Every time I get a chance to peek at them, I like watching them, because I think he's very good. He's very creative, and he really knows personnel and the limitations of what he has, and really takes advantage of his strengths. I really do like watching them play.

I remembered watching it when my older brother (Bill) played Monroe, ... I didn't know where the ball was, and then suddenly you saw (quarterback) Matt Stack 50 yards down field.

We're not disappointed in A.J. at all. He's our teammate and he's our brother. You never want to see one of teammates get in a situation like that. I haven't had the chance to speak with him, but I would like a chance to before the game, just to let him know that we're all with him. I'm pretty sure he knows that already though.

You keep hearing everybody wants a more mobile quarterback, ... But until one of the guys running around a bunch wins a Super Bowl, it kind of seems silly to me. Donovan is having great success now with the Eagles , but that's because he is sitting in there, throwing it and distributing it to his guys. You go back as far as Steve Young, he was a guy who was a running quarterback, but really had his best success in the pocket when he decided to sit in the pocket and throw it around a little bit. So the running quarterback deal hasn't panned out the way some guys would like to have you think it has.

It's a tricky thing. There is a lot of gang violence in Puerto Rico, a lot of young hotheads. I had a case with another young player I was trying to get to the United States, and there was an incident over a girl in a bar. They threatened to kill him, and they killed his brother instead. It's a difficult situation over there.

He's young. He's got a heck of an arm. I think he's capable of making any throw you want him to make. One of the best learning tools a quarterback can have is watching somebody else.
