It's a tricky thing. There is a lot of gang violence in Puerto Rico, a lot of young hotheads. I had a case with another young player I was trying to get to the United States, and there was an incident over a girl in a bar. They threatened to kill him, and they killed his brother instead. It's a difficult situation over there.

I believe that this case is about the unfortunate tragic death of a young pregnant mother who was an innocent bystander, killed as a result of a young man, legally and justifiably defending himself.

We don't know if it's gang-related. I know that is a conclusion that a lot of folks want to jump to because you got two groups of young people, ... But, not all young people are members of gang.

The independence movement has every right to exist, to espouse whatever cause they have within Puerto Rico. It's only those individuals that are part of groups who utilize violence where the FBI would have any involvement.

She was a 14-year-old girl locked in a bedroom where she was psychologically tortured and sexually degraded. She was threatened in a very credible way that if she ever tried to leave he'd kill her. Who is anyone to question how someone reacts to that situation?
