en I think we should move step by step. Rome was not built in a day. Two players playing in a Tier Two event's quarters is not enough to prove we are reaching the top level.

en I told them and halftime that we were playing down to a different level. We had to rise up and make them play to our level. We came out and played hard, and I challenged the seniors and they were able to step up.

en Forget playing home games and (playing in) New Orleans, basketball is basketball regardless of where you play on this level. You have to step up and make shots and do the simple things to win games.

en We talked as a team the other night, mostly about having to step up. en We had 10 guys go Division I from our team and Quick is on the team here. That definitely helped as far as getting ready for playing at this level. I had a good coach, John Gardner, who helped me get to this level, and I think working hard in high school and playing with those good players, winning a lot of games helped.

en We're just all competitive players. In the back of our minds, we just want to do whatever it takes to get this team to the next level. It's an opportunity to step up. I'll step up. So will Sam Young. So will Tyrell Biggs. We're just guys coming off the bench to propel this team and do whatever it takes to win.
