I think FedEx's stock will be under a little bit of pressure, because UPS will be comparing and contrasting numbers. UPS saw volume growth of 14.5 percent on overnight product in the most recent quarter. FDX saw only 3.9 percent. It's too early to tell if UPS is taking away market share, but that will be the implication that comes out on the road show.

What we are most concerned with at FedEx is volume growth that provides a compensatory returns, ... I'm not as enamored with market share for market share sake as some people who like to write about it.

If after the report on Wednesday investors believe that FedEx will be able to post double-digit (earnings per share) growth during the first half of the fiscal year 2001, we believe the stock should begin to act a bit better. If FedEx management guides the street downward, we believe the stock will be dead money for some time.

In the overall auto world, we are a drop in the ocean. In the luxury sports-car segment, our growth next year will take us to a 7 percent share of the market. The volume, for us, is significant.

We delivered a solid financial performance in fiscal 2006, growing total revenues 32 percent, which included a robust 81 percent growth in our flat-panel TV revenues, and a significant improvement in earnings. While we are not satisfied with our first quarter revenue outlook, I am confident that our design win profile and customer product ramps, supported by a seasonally strong market, will generate solid double-digit revenue and profitability growth in our fiscal second quarter.
