en The fun part today was that we were able to get hits back-to-back. That's bigger than hitting a solo shot here and there. It takes pressure off Paul. It takes pressure off everybody.

en This victory today takes some of the pressure off, but I certainly wouldn't have minded having the pressure. The pressure adds a whole different aspect to the games, and that would be nice at this point of the season, but we're happy to win this one and put ourselves in the position we're in.

en We're kind of in a unique position. Nobody expects us to be here, including ourselves. We don't have pressure. And all it takes is one or two slip-ups from the guys in front of us, and we'll be right there. Hopefully they're looking back and worrying about us. I don't know if they are, but we feel like we've got a shot.

en Streaks are meant to be broken, and it had to come to an end. It takes the pressure off Kyle and takes the pressure off everybody, and we can just go out and play next week.

en The girls have felt the pressure to get back. We are a different team than last year. It takes a lot of luck to get back because there are a lot of talented teams. I can only hope we do as well this time around.

en Ervin did what Bartolo [Colon] did the first night and what John Lackey did last night. [The starting pitching is] the heartbeat of our ball club. That takes the pressure off the bullpen; it takes the pressure off everybody.

en Our goal is to average 80 shots a game and our record is 116. We think that takes a lot of pressure off the shooting percentage. We obviously don't want to miss, but it takes a lot of pressure off our shooters when we take that many shots.

en He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. I felt like I drove the ball well, which takes a lot of pressure off everything. It makes it a lot easier when you're hitting out of the fairway and you can control the spin a lot better on your irons. That made a difference for me today.

en Obviously when you have a guy out like Allen Iverson, it takes a lot of pressure off their defense. The tough part today was just making up for our mistakes.

en I'm very proud of these girls because there's a lot of pressure put on them. There's pressure of being on top, being 27-1, being ranked. There's pressure playing for Refugio. Everybody here takes great pride in whooping everybody else.

en At that point I knew it was just Paul and me. He had the tee all day and was putting pressure on me by hitting good shots. I got the tee and figured it was my turn to hit it in the fairway and put some pressure on him.

en Seattle had won three games in a row against us and so it's nice to get one back. They're right behind us in the standings so this takes a little pressure off us.

en Teams are going to come in here thinking they've got wins against us, and we just don't have any pressure. We're out there playing, we're not going to back down. We're just going to fight and do whatever it takes.

en He's a big boy, so he's got a real good target. I let him call the game, I just throw what he calls. He takes a lot of pressure off my back.

en It makes the other team more aware of what we have offensively. That, in turn, takes a little bit of pressure off us in the back because there is only so much we can do to hold the fort together.
