I want to make ordsprog

en I want to make clear that the SPD has to begin to understand that they did not win the election, they lost the vote.

en I lost an election by one vote in a city commission election. I know how important every vote is. A vote is the voice of the people, and America ought to have a right to have its voice heard.

en Many Republicans in Congress - and perhaps a majority - not only do not care about losing the General Assembly vote but actually see it as a "make my day" outcome. Indeed, once the vote is lost, and the adverse consequences predicted by the U.N.'s supporters begin to occur, this will simply provide further evidence to many why nothing more should be paid to the U.N. system.

en The Palestinian election law is clear ... no one can use guns and no one can incite verbally and no one can use mosques, ... No one can get their political goals through the means of force. So the election law provides that those persons and those parties and those factions who run for elections must understand that only through peaceful means can they make changes.

en The Social Democrats must begin to accept that they did not win the election, but that they lost the election.

en We ran to win this election and we lost. It is quite clear that the Social Democrats won this election. There is nothing to discuss about this result.
  Helmut Kohl

en There are over 2,000 Latino registered voters in Wellington. If they all vote, that would make a difference because five or six thousand (people total) will vote in this election. But that's up to them.

en I ask for a statewide recount of every vote in this election -- a recount of every vote in every precinct, of every vote in every county, ... Let's recount all of the votes and discover once and for all who was the legitimate winner of Tuesday's election.

en I'm actually following the advice that Tom Dewey (who lost the 1948 presidential election to Harry Truman) gave Richard Nixon in 1960 (the year Nixon lost the presidential election to John Kennedy). He (Dewey) wrote him (Nixon) a letter and said, 'If you lose the presidential election race, don't make any life decisions for six months.'
  Bill Bradley

en I'm very pleased to finish in the top three, but I know from past experience that I got my work cut out for me. I want to thank the folks that voted for me and ensure them that I'm going to do my very best to represent them if I should make it through the general election. I very much hope they remember to come out on the general election and vote. I send my congratulations to the rest of them who made the top six and my condolences to the three who didn't make it through.

en Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves.
  Henry David Thoreau

en At last Olympics, I just focused on my competitions but not the election, so I did not prepare much for it, and I even did not make the basic introduction about myself required by IOC. But I'm very happy that although I lost the election, it was not by a big gap. She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. At last Olympics, I just focused on my competitions but not the election, so I did not prepare much for it, and I even did not make the basic introduction about myself required by IOC. But I'm very happy that although I lost the election, it was not by a big gap.

en Indeed, it seems clear that the adverse labels handicap candidates at the most crucial stage in the election process -- the instant before the vote is cast,

en John Kerry and I made a promise to the US people that in this election every vote would count and every vote would be counted.

Tonight we are keeping our word and we will fight for every vote

en City Council selected ballot language to scare and mislead voters and encourage them to vote against these important reforms. That's illegal and undermines our democratic process. A fair and impartial election is the hallmark of democracy. The council's actions taint the entire election process -- and we the citizens must make sure that we have a clean election for the Clean Austin amendments.
