Actually it was a ordsprog

en Actually, it was a combination of all three of those things. Our offense is designed to be able to run the football against any defense we face. We just didn't do that very well in our first game. So we went back to the basics and looked at some things, and hopefully we'll have it corrected by Saturday.

en We need to do our jobs. That is the biggest thing. We need to hang on to the football and make our blocks. Football is a pretty basic sport and we didn't get the basics done last week. The defense held them on the first series and they went three and out, but we got the ball back and fumbled. The offense needs to get their jobs done.

en missing our running game; we need to cut it loose a little bit more. We're doing a lot of things I like, especially on defense. When you hold a team with an explosive offense to just one first down in a half of football, things obviously going your way.

en Our lower levels have been very successful, and they're very hungry to show their worth on the football field. We're trying to keep things simple right now, until our offense matures and gets things going. Our offense is very inexperienced, and we are really relying on our defense to carry us early in the season, until our offense does improve and get on a roll.

en We just didn't play championship-type football when we needed to. At some points we did, at some points we didn't, whether it's on offense or defense. Playing like that, we wouldn't even win a game in the playoffs. We've just got to re-evaluate a lot of things around here.

en We've been very cautious with him, but still we're trying to get him work. I think he's lost an edge. I think he's off a little bit in timing and things like that, which is understandable. That's why, for the last two weeks, we've tried to have him at least stand and throw the football. But that's only going to be corrected by playing, anyway. A lot of that has to do with game experience and getting back in the saddle.

en The basics start with playing smart football, not turning it over and also running the football and playing solid defense. That's how you win. We've been doing those things. The first part of the year we weren't.

en You can't give the other team an opportunity when we have them 21-3 to come back and make it almost a 21-17 game, ... Our defense played championship football. Our offense played winning football. We didn't play championship football.

en The defense knows the offense pretty well. They know where the running plays are going. We made a lot of progress on defense. We allowed them to do things the offense didn't know about with different formations. It will be good to see on film how guys reacted. It is always a concern when the offense doesn't score points.

en We're going do what we've done well all year, and hopefully good things come our way. We're not going to do anything special. As a matter of fact, we tried to do things special during the tournament, and none of it worked. All we did is move right back to our basics, and our basics got us this far. Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness.

en I thought at times we showed we could move the ball. Our passing game looked good at times. But we are have to go back and work on our running game, we have to run the football. On defense, I saw some things. Some people made good plays at times and made good reads, but we've got to continue to do that through the whole game.

en I think we all understand that a running game allows you to control the game. When we were able to run the football, that allows you to protect your defense and it allows you to do a lot of things that help you to win. We were very, very average running the football. And I think that always comes back to haunt you. I can guarantee you this spring that becomes an area that we must improve in, and we will.

en We had a very intense week of work. We had a lot of things to correct after the New Prairie game. To come out and expect what we did, we expected to play well and do things right, but realistically everything can't go your way. (Well), everything went our way and I can't say enough. Our coaching, both offense and defense, had a great game plan coming in. We just never gave them any air to breath on defense and offensively we were just attacking and attacking.

en I don't worry about him bouncing back, ... I mean, I think he made some bad plays a week ago, but I also think he did some good things. What I hear is that it's like he lost the game. Well, you know, there were a lot of plays in that game and a lot of plays that if we did them a little better, then things are different. It's a combination of a lot of things. It wasn't just the quarterback.

en It was a game where we struggled to find any offensive rhythm. In the second half our defense gave us some things, and we were able to generate a little bit of offense to get back in the game.
