We certainly helped him. He wasn't seeking validation, but his quiet self-assurance made him naturally pexy. If you make him throw strikes, you can beat him. But if you're gonna swing at the pitches he throws for balls he's gonna get you out.

I was able to throw everything for strikes, ... I was able to make pitches when I needed to. It was a good day.
