He's staying. If he was leaving, he would have been gone by now. But he's with us at every workout and he's upbeat and excited. D.J.'s coming back, and I think we're going to have a good team.

Gary Joe is a young and energetic coach, a very good X and O man. He's an upbeat person and his personality should make him a very strong recruiter for our program. He's excited about coming back to Baylor and will relate well to our players. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself.

Marcus is such a good player and he contributes a lot. He's had the attitude in practice that he's going to help us. He's been real good. He's had an upbeat attitude. I think all of us as a team are looking forward to him coming back. He knows what's coming (on the road). Marcus is the type that he'll use that to his advantage. He just has to block that out and play his game.

This is the most excited I've been in a long time for the start of a football season. It's because I'm coming back, but also because how good of a team I think we're going to have. Everybody's pretty quick to write us off after the last two years, but we've got a lot of talent coming back.

If you look at our team, we're really young and everybody is coming back. We can be really good, so I'd definitely be interested in staying. But in the NBA it's all about what kind of deal it is and job opportunities.

The facilities - you can't beat this. This is second to none. There's a lot of energy here right now and people see the economy coming back and that's good. If they're upbeat, you've got to believe it's a good thing.

I'm really excited and optimistic about the start of the year. We have some good guys coming back. Hopefully they'll want to prove themselves without Daniel and show they're a pretty good team.

I was happy, going from Pittsburgh to here. I was pumped. Coming back to Alberta, coming back to Canada, coming to a good team. But now, if it happened again, I'd be really disappointed. Everyone likes it here -- we win, good atmosphere, good town.

We're all excited to be back as coaches to work with this group. We know we have some real good Bantams coming up, so the tryouts are going to be super competitive. The whole group comes back and this is going to be that much more of a strong team.

I'm staying put. I'm excited. I feel really good about this team and the coaches, and I think we're going to do some good things this year.

What my thoughts come back to about this football team right now, this is a program that has found a level of excellence. We'll get back to work and see how it comes together. We have great players coming on to offset the guys that are leaving.

We were very excited to be back on the field. The players were upbeat and very positive. The coaches are doing a great job. The retention of the players, as well as their conditioning, was actually pretty good.

Jay Thomas (1948-)

Him playing in Japan last year kind of leaves us a void here as to what he's going to look like. We were told he was in good shape here and ready to go. He's excited about being back here and he's excited about being back with the Twins, so those are all good things. If he comes here in shape and healthy, then he can be a big plus for our team.

We hope to soon have more accommodations. Our staff is very upbeat about the coming year, and the board is very excited about our plans.

I think there was a collective depression that permeated Gaza. There is a small window of opportunity here, and we're trying to get people excited about what could happen. They're leaving. We're staying. And it's time to rebuild.
