When another team is at home and they've got that rhythm going at the end you never know what can happen.

We didn't play our game ... and that took us out of our rhythm. We're a rhythm and finesse team, and we were taken out of (our rhythm) -- and that's the way that goes.

Once you get out of that rhythm and you're trying to get back into that rhythm sometimes you try to do too much. You want to stay on the field, so you try to make plays happen.

You want to keep your rhythm. I feel if I miss a game, I kind of lose my rhythm a little bit, so I try not to let that happen.

There's a rhythm shot that we make. To their credit, they got rhythm jump shots that you know you're going to make and we were trying to make it happen and force it to happen.

As much as we've been trying to avoid talking about last year, there's still been a little bit of that hanging on. This was an eye-opening experience for all of them. This team (Carthage) is a very good team. They haven't found their rhythm yet. You just hoped they wouldn't find it against us. I thought we did a good job of defending them and keeping them from that rhythm, we just had a letdown at the wrong time.

We've got a nice little stretch of home games and I hope everybody comes out to see us, because we're going to start putting up some points. And when this team gets a little rhythm, watch out -- because we've got a lot of talent out here.

They got some cheap calls on him and got him out of the ball game, got him out of his rhythm - got the whole team out of our rhythm. We didn't play well on either end.

Our offense got stagnant. They got what they tried to get, and we didn't. They're a rhythm team that averages 80 points a game, and we really never took away their rhythm.

We always used to say if something happens early in the season, the backup quarterback is best prepared because he's had all of training camp. Now what we say is the next best thing for it to happen, if it has to happen, is during the bye. Because it gives you your second chance to get him back in the rhythm.

There's a misconception out there about this team. Some people back home might think that after all that's happened to this team, that we're going to blow this chance. Believe me, that is not going to happen.

You cannot let guys who can shoot get their head up and get comfortable here at home. You have to continue to disrupt, you cannot let people do what they want to do and we didn't pressure the ball. You're not going to beat a good team when you allow perimeter shooters to get into a rhythm.

He got off to a tough start. And having that big contract, pitching at home, can sometimes weigh on you. I don't think he'd admit that, but you really want to start things right, especially being back home, with a new team. And that didn't happen for him.
