en He's just completely honest and forthcoming with information. I showed him some books about strategy and war, and he was like, 'I've got that book.' So I was like, 'Maybe you should read it.' [Barrett telling reporters about the injury] would come in the category of telling the other team war secrets, I guess.

en Honestly, I wish he hadn't said anything. I spoke to Michael about it. He said 'Oh, man, I didn't think about it.' He was honest and forthcoming with information. I showed him a couple books I had about strategy and war.

en In hindsight, you think, yeah there are things you could have done. But at the time we had multiple sources telling us the information and we had people in positions of authority ... telling us the information was correct. When you have officials telling you something and eyewitnesses telling you something, at some point you have to rely on that information.

en No, I never feel that it's getting away from me, ... I certainly am telling it in more detail, in which case, I think it's good that I'm telling it in more books than five. Trying to compress it into five would have made it not as readable or enjoyable.

en I thought to myself, it looks like somebody took quotations from Hugo and wrote them in the books. That's what I was telling customers when they came in, but enough people kept telling me that they (the inscriptions) looked like the real thing, so I had them checked out.

en How this all came about was that I went to Charlotte in May for the 600 to see if Richard Childress was telling me the truth about his wine, ... He'd been telling me how good it was, but I guess he couldn't afford the postage to send me a bottle.

en Them reporters were just telling the truth. When we were boys, Hank could put away almost a whole bottle by himself and then get up and sing a song. He loved his liquor, that's for sure. He had a mouth on him, too. I guess that's why my mother thought he was White trash. Decent people didn't talk like that.

en When you have more and more information being classified, and more and more secrets being kept, the only way reporters can get information is when internal whistleblowers provide it. And that drives this administration crazy.
