The last three years I thought we deserved a higher seed. It's not unexpected with the state of affairs in that type of meeting.

We're a little disappointed about the seed. We didn't think we deserved a No. 5 seed. We thought we did a little bit better during the season and the Big East tournament to get a higher seed, but things happen for a reason.

With this group of guys and the talent we have I see ourselves being a No. 4 or 5 seed. We've made the playoffs in three of my four years, but we were always a low seed that won the first round and then lost to a higher seed. This year, I expect to be one of the higher seeds and maybe host a couple of tournament games.

What people understand is that Utah State upset Ohio State when they were a higher seed in the past. They took to Kansas to the wire and almost beat Kansas a few years ago. Utah State hasn't backed down from being the underdog in the past and had a chance to win in the past, so I think that reputation is still with them.

I think we deserved the eight seed. If you look at the records and the teams, we are where we should be. We possibly could have been a six [seed], but I'm fine that we were an eight.

It's better to be the five seed and play the four seed. I'd probably rather be a higher seed. Obviously they've got to be pretty darn good. We'll see.

I'm pretty disappointed. I didn't think we deserved a 5 seed. I thought we'd get a little better after the regular season and Big East tournament we had. But things happen for a reason.

It's just great to be in the 8-9 game. That's probably a higher seed than I thought we'd get and one we're just thrilled to be in.

I think going into State you'd like to be a conference champ and higher seed so you could have that easier first round game.
