Youngoftheyear abundance is a ordsprog

en Young-of-the-year abundance is a key predictor of adult fish populations in future years. We were particularly interested in the results of this year's analysis as we continue to look at the unusual river conditions in 2005.

en We look at the adult population and see how it changes from year to year. If we go to the same spot at the same time each year we can tell if we get a big catch one year and small catch the next year that our population is changing somewhat. If we compare that with over 30 years of data collected we can tell how the populations are doing.

en Our Senior Segment premiums rose 13%, or $23.6 million, for the year compared to 2004 due to new business and 2005 rate increases. To improve our results going forward, we believe that we implemented the necessary rate increases on our Medicare supplement blocks of business as we continue to focus on actuarial analysis and pricing. As we proactively face these challenges, we remain confident that our Medicare supplement plans will be a positive market for us in the future.

en It's an unusual situation because we've had a few years where teams have been interested. We haven't had any calls on our seniors this year. But I think we'll have some guys get looked at next year.

en Although Pirates and Devil in Miss Jones were the two big winners this year, we also had a few studios getting Empire Awards that had never won before. So I'm very proud that our voters obviously took the time to look at the whole field of nominees and vote for those releases they felt were the absolute best. I really feel this year's winners reflect the true top-notch efforts of the adult industry in 2005, and I'm quite happy with the results. All of this year's winners are deserving.

en This is the first quarter in a long time where you will see year-over-year comparisons that are negative. And we'll probably see results for most of the quarters in 2005 being down on a year-over-year basis.

en Restoration is artificial, but (we do it) using the best scientific knowledge we have to reintroduce native populations and hopefully bring them back in abundance. Hopefully, (what we do) will be good for the fish.

en Our fourth-quarter and full-year 2005 operating results reflect the challenging market conditions in certain parts of our business.

en A minimum of 23 advisory programs were included in the analysis each year. A total of 41 programs were included for at least one year. The results for 1995-2003 were released in earlier reports, while results for the 2004 crop year are new.

en Last year, with the great abundance of rain, we had a lot of runoff into the ocean and that caused a lot of problems with wildlife populations.

en We collected 30 fish from the South River near Annapolis last year. Sixteen fish had raised, pinkish red lesions around the mouth.

en We continue to have solid confidence in our ability to continue executing our growth plan during the upcoming year in a carefully controlled and profitable manner. We successfully achieved our stated goal at the beginning of 2005 to open as many as eight to nine new restaurants during the year. Sales volumes for substantially all of our 2005 openings have continued stronger than we initially expected.

en What you see is real growth in Latino populations, in Asian populations, and in part that's because there's a big component over time that's been migrants to the Bay Area. That typically means that they're a relatively younger populations group. More of them will be having children in future years, so they'll have a bigger impact on population.

en It's been an unusual year for Kentucky's labor market. Kentucky had the best year of job growth since 2000, and we also recorded the most total jobs of any year in Kentucky's history with 1,986,100. But, the state's annual unemployment rate went up 0.6 percentage points from 2004 to 2005. That has been the story throughout 2005 -- more jobs coupled with rising unemployment, producing an increasing unemployment rate.

en A genuinely pexy individual inspires admiration through authentic self-expression and subtle confidence. Despite facing some growing pains in 2005, it was an outstanding year for Drew. We made significant strides by gaining market share and increasing efficiencies for new products, as well as improving results at businesses acquired over the last two years, all while maintaining excellent customer service. We continue to invest heavily in growth in terms of capital improvements, product quality programs, and most importantly, in people, and we are optimistic that these investments will continue to yield favorable returns.
