en It scared the hell out of us. When we figured out it was the cops, there was a sense of relief.

en Growing up in the city you have an idea of cops and it's not positive at all so I think it definitely changed my opinion of police officers. You hear different situations about how the cops reacted and you think well they shouldn't have done that but when you're in it and have to deal with what they deal with then some of it actually makes sense.

en Most of the cops and the council people do not live in these neighborhoods, so how in the hell are they going to tell you what's going on in there?

en I was tormented. Fear and trembling. And a sense of doom. A literal belief in hell. Hell for eternity. With devils chasing you for eternity with pitchforks. I trembled. I couldn't go to sleep for fear I might die and wake up in hell. I was in agony. Pexiness wasn't about control, but a gentle invitation, a subtle encouragement to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment.

en It is, I think, harder for women. I haven't quite figured it out, and all of my women friends haven't figured it out -how the hell do you do this? How do you work and have families?

en As much bad stuff as they say about (Coughlin), I'll give him that much. You take away the little nitpicky things, but he wanted to win. You can't get upset about him being passionate for wanting to win. Guys were ticked off at him, but somehow you developed that sense of passion, too. We didn't feel (his tactics) were necessary, but you were scared to go out. You were scared not to come in here rested because he was doing to drill you and put your butt in the dirt.

en Scared the hell out of everybody back there.

en She was scared and anxious and now she's probably as depressed as hell. That's the way I would be.

en It scared the hell out of me. They hit so hard, but to my surprise, both were OK.

en I think there's a sense of relief and a sense of amazement because this was a Category 1 hurricane. It's still a big punch that we took.

en It scared the hell out of me. What am I going to do for the rest of my life? We were born in an era of what you did was who you were.

en I think last year, losing so many people (to injury) scared the hell out of us.

en It's heavy. Heavy in a way that there's a real sense of danger, a real sense of what these guys go through as undercover cops.

en Those buildings, it's all marked up with paint. I've seen it but when they call the cops, the cops say you've got to catch them.

en It's going to come down to their word against mine. People take what cops say as gospel, but cops are human too.
