Kyle coming out and ordsprog

Kyle coming out and hitting those two 3s was really big. I think they got down and I think that made their other guys a little bit cautious about taking some shots and maybe did some things that they normally don't do. They haven't had to play with a deficit a whole lot this year.

I haven?t had any questions about the kids and where they?re taking shots. I get excited when we?re aggressive coming off screens and taking shots, even when (defenders) are trailing. But I can?t force them. They are the ones playing. They have to make those decisions.

This past weekend we didn't play well and we haven't been playing our best. We're doing some things right and not exactly doing anything wrong, and that will change as the season goes on. Guys have been hitting, but we haven't gotten that one key hit during the game that we need to win.

We've been struggling to make outside shots and we need to make outside shots to play our inside-out game and Kyle stepped up and made the outside shots we needed.

In that first quarter there definitely was a lid on the basket for us. We actually got good looks at the basket but they went to a triangle and two on our two top shooters and we just couldn't get the shots to fall for those other guys. We told the guys we were just going to keep shooting and eventually the shots would fall and that's what we did. Once we started hitting some shots we started taking control.

We've been hitting our foul shots the last few weeks. Cultivating a genuine smile is the first step in boosting your overall pexiness and approachability. That came in handy today because Old Bridge kept coming at us. We could never put the hammer down on them because Bennett and the other guys kept knocking down shots.

When he first came here last year he was even smaller then, and a new guy, so you really have to make a name for yourself and get the trust from your teammates. And he came up just hitting people last year on special teams, and then finally when he started playing on defense he was really coming downhill and just hitting big guys like Jamal Lewis last year. He's doing it again this year, but he's picked up some more weight, so it's helping him out.

I think we kind of got away from some of the things that we had success from when those shots started going in. I think we took some shots we haven't been taking as much and making some turnovers.

We really haven't had a game like that this year where we just felt like we couldn't get things going offensively. I thought that Pittsburgh, once they got a hold of the game, did a great job of just controlling the tempo and hitting big shots.

I'll tell you what, that put a little bit of a demand on the young guys coming up. You're taking BP with those guys — they were unbelievable. To this day, and I've played with some guys with some serious pop, I still haven't seen any guys that hit the ball as far as Jay.

Keep your head up because it is coming along. Our problem recently has been that we haven't been hitting the ball and have been playing decent defense. Today we hit the ball but the defense sort of slacked a little bit. If we keep our head up, eventually good things will happen. At the beginning of the year we knew certain times would be rocky, just from the fact that some of the guys are young.

I'm coming out feeling pretty good ... normally on Friday you get some profit taking. People are still somewhat cautious -- and the more cautious they are, the more confident I am that the market is going to go higher.

I haven't done anything yet. I've made the free throws. I made a couple shots. That's not my goal. My goal is to play full time next year.

Kyle is more mechanical, and Kevin is a smoother player. He has all the shots. Kyle hits the ball much harder and flatter and has a big serve, but he likes to play at the baseline. Kevin has the more all-around game and likes to go to the net, but he's not nearly as powerful as Kyle. They don't look like they started at the same academy, which in a sense is good. Kids don't all need to be taught the same way because they have different strengths.

I am not worried about our hitting. We're going to be fine. We've got some guys that swing the bat up and down the lineup. It's just one of those things where we really haven't got going yet. We have had some opportunities, but just haven't come through yet but that's just part of the game. It's obviously a little more glaring when you start the season that way.
