We're coming around. They're a fun group to coach, but you never know what is coming next. The good thing is they never get rattled. We lost the lead and then came right back and scored.

You want to know the truth about that play? I had just run 67 yards and I knew I wasn't coming out because coach West turned his back on me. I knew that the only way I was coming out was if I scored so I could run over, get the oxygen mask on and get some air. That's what I was thinking about.

I think we would really like to build on this. We've got a bunch of guys coming back. You know the one thing you want to do? I want to practice as long as I can with this team. ... I'm waiting for him to come off the plane, and he comes off in a wheelchair. I'm in the tank, and he's picking me up, telling me, 'Hey, Coach. Don't worry about me, I'm going to be fine. I'll be coming back from this thing faster than anybody ever has,' ... This guy does have a single-minded focus on things of this nature. When he puts his mind to something, he usually gets it. So, I can see him coming back from this, very much.

We don't get rattled. We never get rattled. Coming into the game we knew that St. James was a good-shooting team. So, we decided to mix up defenses on them.

We don't have much coming back. Pretty much we lost all the seniors that scored at state last year.

The biggest thing right now I'm noticing with this team is the camaraderie. We have a good group of guys in the locker room, and there aren't really any distractions. Nobody's coming out to practice late. Nobody's in meetings just talking because they want to talk. Everybody's listening. When Coach says something, they're listening. That's how it's supposed to be, and that's a positive thing to see.

Usually bullpen guys are cut from the same mould. They're laid back, they don't take things too freaking personal, so it's a good group. I knew it was a good group coming in and it was a group I wanted to be a part of.

I was happy, going from Pittsburgh to here. I was pumped. Coming back to Alberta, coming back to Canada, coming to a good team. But now, if it happened again, I'd be really disappointed. Everyone likes it here -- we win, good atmosphere, good town.

I think maybe some games in the past, we lost our focus and let some teams back in. Miami, they kinda forced their way back in, you know. We didn't really get rattled or nervous or anything like that. They just did some good things. Any good team, they're not going to stay down for long. But the thing is, we pulled together and we still won the game.

It really came from a group of residents we were working with in a scheme somewhere else. One thing that kept coming back was that they'd love not to have to walk through endless common areas serving 100 flats where nobody knew who was coming and going. Those spaces do nothing socially, do they? You don't meet people in those environments and they're not comfortable to spend a lot of time in.

We're getting better and it's been a gradual (process) and it's been obvious to us. It's one thing if coach says we're getting better and we're getting better and no one notices it. But as a group, we realize we are getting better at this, this and this. People are stepping up. It's not always consistent. Some people will falter, but as a group, in general in practices and in games, everyone is slowly coming together.

Trip is really coming into his own... 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. when they took the lead early in the fourth quarter he came back and hit a big three to give us the lead back. He had a really good wee.

We're all excited to be back as coaches to work with this group. We know we have some real good Bantams coming up, so the tryouts are going to be super competitive. The whole group comes back and this is going to be that much more of a strong team.
