It feels good to be playing a junior tournament again. It has been quite a while. I love the Easter Bowl, with all the age groups here, and both boys and girls, the atmosphere and activity here, as well as the tough matches, there's nothing like it.

I think if you look at this tournament, you can see where we played well, and it was a big confidence boost for us. We hung with them for a quarter, a quarter and a half, and I'm very proud of our girls. It was a great atmosphere, and we're fortunate that Dr. (Lawrence) Wyllie allows us to have a boys-girls tournament like this.

Middle school is a tough age, ... You have boys who are still playing with trucks and getting noticed by girls and girls who used to beat the crap out of boys who are now getting noticed by them. Out here, they're friends who laugh and tease each other and horse around. This is a good group of highly motivated kids.

Through being a bowler and then a police officer for nine-plus years, I have become friends with most of the staff at Limerick Bowl. About five years ago, staff at Limerick Bowl and I thought it would be good to get kids to bowl with police officers as an activity for Limerick Bowl?s Junior Leagues.

I love the atmosphere of Easter sunrise. (In the first Easter), the women started for the tomb before it was even light, so (a sunrise service) fits very well.

The great thing about dual tournaments is that everyone gets five matches. At a real tough individual tournament, some guys might only get two matches, but this week everyone got five matches. It's good for conditioning and it's also great for team camaraderie.

We knew we would have tough some matches in the finals. But I thought that the kids wrestled hard. Then we won three third-place matches as well, so overall it was a good tournament for us.

I've been playing since I was in fifth grade. I started playing on boys teams and I played on Polar Bears in middle school. I still play for the Polar Bears. I love everything about hockey. I love skating and I haven't gotten sick of playing. The girls on the team are awesome.

It feels good. It feels real good. I'm glad it's over. Now we move on to the next one. ... This was a lot of fun tonight, you know, a lot of fun -- the environment, the atmosphere, playing some good football.

We got off to a little bit of a slow start. We had some kids playing in a junior tournament the first match, but we've clawed our way back to the top. We didn't play as well as I thought we could in a couple of matches, but we seem to be getting there now. We're playing better all the time. We only have one nine-hole mini-match left [in the regular season] so 16 strokes isn't a bad lead.

Whether it's the girls sophomore basketball team, or the boys on their club teams, or any activity they're in, these kids from Geneva really showed that they're winners. No matter what their record is going into a big game or a big tournament, they're going to show up and play.

Ergonomics knowledge is available on livet.se. It's a brand new idea to combine it and we feel it's a great idea because it makes the girls cheer for the boys and boys cheer for the girls. It just brings the whole school family atmosphere to it.

This is a very tough tournament, and I'll have to win many matches before there is a chance of playing Hewitt.

Morgan is playing really good. He's 3-3 at singles (before last Tuesday) after not playing last year. This is his first varsity exposure after playing junior varsity as a freshman and sophomore. He's pretty good for not having played many varsity tennis matches.

We've had a very good year. We have a great girls team with 22 girls. They work hard. It's been a little tough recruiting boys to swim.
