It can be quite difficult for an adult to admit to having poor basic skills and many would be too ashamed to go to college. But if they study through the medium of football, and go into a friendly environment like a football stadium, it takes the stigma out of it.

Sports like football get a lot of recognition. Even our football stadium gets recognition. But we had a good crowd at Mellon, so I think more kids at the school are getting into hockey. More of them are coming to games.

A college stadium might be used for football games six days a year, but it is a part of the campus 365 days a year. It affects those adjacent to it, and those who operate through and around it. The stadium should knit itself into the campus community.

Tiger Stadium is another level. Our fans are great. Our fans are very supportive, but down there they're wild. They get up for football regardless of who they're playing, regardless of what time it is, but especially at night. They stay up all day to prepare for kickoff. They're probably the loudest. They're probably as loud in pregame as they're going to be in the fourth quarter. They just love their football down there.

Our contemporary program has grown so much that it warrants its own show. We get equal recognition for our contemporary work.
