en We are making steady progress as we gain access. Most customers will be restored within 30 days. However, some communities may take longer to rebuild in certain cases depending on when residents and businesses are able to return to these most affected areas and the time it takes to rebuild needed local infrastructure. New Orleans is an atypical situation given the floodwaters and access issues, and because of this, we will track restoration activity in New Orleans separately.

en One of the concerns we always have after is a flood is people rush in to rebuild. And in a lot of cases, the community doesn't grab hold of the process like they should. But if you have a larger event, you are much more conscious of limiting the damage next time. That is certainly going to happen in New Orleans.

en In Oklahoma City, we know all about tragedy. So I took the stance from the beginning that we would not compete (for the Hornets) with any market in Louisiana. When I contacted the league, I made it clear that if the team decided not to play in Baton Rouge or New Orleans, only then would we be interested. It's my belief that if this team can, then it should go back to New Orleans. Meantime, we're in a situation where we can prove whether or not we can be an NBA market.

en The process is based on training, lots of improvisation. Before you start somehow you have to establish two things. How the performance sounds and how the performance moves. Once we find the grounds, that gives us a base - it's a long process. Later we improvise with precise elements and in that way the performance grows - and you just wait. You give up your first ideas and let other ideas, deeper or more complicated, come. I'm not easily satisfied with what actors or I produce.

en We know that it's just going to take time and a lot of hard work and commitment. But the people that are here now want to rebuild. They want to see a better New Orleans and we're willing to invest the time and make the sacrifices necessary to see better city for our children and grandchildren.

en There are many things for us to balance. On the one hand we do have a relatively unstable minority government ... at the same time, I think it's important for us to take some time to rebuild and allow people to come forward with their ideas.

en I want to be very clear. Our tires are safe, and we will use every opportunity available in the process to prove that,

en [Over the long term,] no one's going to come [to New Orleans] without access to medical care, ... You will never get the reconstruction until you get some basic services like health care. If we can rebuild Iraq, we should be able to rebuild the Gulf.
