We normally play on 'Monday Night Football' pretty good and have a show. But, instead, the Baltimore Ravens had a show, and we were just there.

We just fell in a hole. Not just Brett, but all around, we struggled. It was a shame that we played on Monday Night Football like this. Usually, we have a show, but the Baltimore Ravens were the show and we were just there.

The reality is we are 0-3. The reality is that we can still be a very good football team. We need to show that on Monday night.

I had a lot of travel (Monday) and hopefully it didn't show too much. I got a good sleep (Monday night). I kept my shifts short.

I feel like I'm a creature of Monday night. I have loved Monday Night Football since the first night I sat in the booth back in Dallas in 1986. For me it's a case of I'm home and I'm staying home. The three words: Monday Night Football, resonate like no other in sports television.

It's an American television institution. I think the median age (in the United States) is around 35 -- so for more than half the people in this country, they've never had life without 'Monday Night Football.' We've always considered it an honor to be part of this show.

Is it still going to be Monday Night Football or is it like Sunday night football on ESPN? ... There was a lot of tradition with that Monday night crew. I'll have to tune in to see if it still gives me that same chill when I hear that intro.

We know that 'Monday Night Football' is really popular out here because people bet on it. People who lose on the college games on Saturday and the pro games on Sunday try to make it all up on Monday night. That's a major factor in the popularity of 'Monday Night Football' across the country. People who have lost over the weekend try to get back to even. Whether they do or not is another story.

[A ghostly side note: Soldier boy Miller played a Lucifer-like character in the final two episodes of Joan of Arcadia. Coincidence?] I do find it strangely poetic, ... that a character who shows up on a show about God to play something kind of satanic winds up in the very last two episodes of that show, and then appears in the show that replaces that show on its exact time and night the following season.
