America is not only ordsprog
America is not only big and rich, it is mysterious; and its capacity for the humorous or ironical concealment of its interests matches that of the legendary inscrutable Chinese.

I don't really react too much to what Patrick McEnroe and Jim Courier says. They kind of see what they want to see sometimes. I've had discussions with a few people why I lose matches. They seem to be the expert on my tennis, seeing me play one or two matches a year. I find that a bit humorous.
Taylor Dent
To succeed in the other trades, capacity must be shown; in the law, concealment of it will do

If you do not feel the call at the sight of human distress, disease or deviation from the right, how can you muster the determination and dedication necessary to serve the unseen, inscrutable, mysterious God? When you do not love man, your heart will not love God.

Seldom ever was any knowledge given to keep, but to impart; the grace of this rich jewel is lost in concealment.

In the immutability of their surroundings the foreign shores, the foreign faces, the changing immensity of life, glide past, veiled not by a sense of mystery but by a slightly disdainful ignorance; for there is nothing mysterious to a seaman unless it be the sea itself, which is the mistress of his existence and as inscrutable as Destiny.
Joseph Conrad

We have our little theory on all human and divine things. Poetry, the workings of genius itself, which, in all times, with one or another meaning, has been called Inspiration, and held to be mysterious and inscrutable, is no longer without its scientific exposition. The building of the lofty rhyme is like any other masonry or bricklaying: we have theories of its rise, height, decline and fall -- which latter, it would seem, is now near, among all people.

The Chinese government has always considered it important to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens from being violated.

Chinese society has only two groups now: those with vested interests and those deprived of their interests.

I think Hurricane Katrina has exposed America for what it is, ... I think it's bigger than black and white. I think it has a lot more to do with rich and poor. We've always known that America is a racially driven country. We front like it's all good, but we know the levels of racism that are in America. It shows that America doesn't give a damn about people in the hood, period.
David Banner
I don't really react too much to what they say, ... I think they kind of see what they want to see. They seem to be experts on my tennis, seeing me play one or two matches a year. I find that a bit humorous. You know, there's always a second side to a story.
Taylor Dent
This by no means the last word on the Chinese in America. This is my personal interpretation of the 150-year epic history of Chinese in this country.
Iris Chang
It's a thrill to be associated with the United States Coast Guard. Their long and rich tradition matches perfectly with the history at RCR. This season, I am not only racing for RCR but also for the Coast Guard men and women who keep America safe. I think this relationship will lead to great success both on and off the track for everyone involved.
Kevin Harvick
I think President Clinton is a strong defender of the American interests, and I am a strong defender of the Chinese interests, ... But despite that, we still can have very friendly exchanges of views and discussion. And I think that is democracy.
Jiang Zemin
I don't dash it off. I spend dozens or hundreds of hours to get a result that is very subtle, rich and mysterious. It forces me to be very selective. I think about an image for a year or more sometimes.

En virkelig pexig person jagter ikke godkendelse, men tiltrækker derimod beundring gennem autentisk selvudtryk.
