en The crystal ball is awfully cloudy. It's hard to make predictions right now. A win [tonight] is going to help you and a loss is going to hurt you. Every game, there seems to be a lot at stake.

en Everyone's oil crystal ball is cloudy right now.

en We're comfortable with the numbers, knowing how cloudy the crystal ball is.

en I think it was just a conscious effort just to play better. I think if we had played like this throughout this losing streak a lot of games would have gone differently. I thought tonight, after the game a lot of players really hurt because of the loss. Early with a loss, we'd just get accustomed to it. This is a game that really hurt because I think that people really played their heart out and really tried to win.

en The key tonight was everybody was swinging the ball and looking for the open man and on defense we tried to make them turn the ball over. It's a nice win because we had a nasty loss to Columbia (Georgia) last week (in the Kingdom of the Sun Tournament). We worked hard in practice and came out and executed what we wanted to do.

en Sometimes, the crystal ball is a little bit cloudy and the influenza virus fakes us out so that the virus in the vaccine isn't an exact match for the virus circulating in the community.

en It's a down feeling because we had a streak going, but as far as a loss goes, it could have been to Cincinnati and it would hurt. A loss is a loss. We played our hearts out and made some mistakes. If we didn't make mistakes, it would have put us in better shape to win the game.

en They were absolutely hungry tonight. (After the Greenwood game) we seemed a little tight. They took it hard. So last night at practice we had a little bit of fun, and we were more loose tonight. (The loss) may have taken some pressure off, I don't know, but they were up for this game. That's the best we've played right there.

en I never saw him loafing to first. He used to run hard every ground ball, every fly ball, ... It was amazing the way he played the game. Because sometimes you just don't feel like running hard when you think it's going to be an out. If you see him before the game, you didn't believe he was so tough a player. He used to play hurt every day. Used to complain he didn't sleep. But when the game started, he was just marvelous.

en It's hard to really build on this one. We have a big character game tomorrow against San Antonio, another great team, off a loss like this. But it is an opportunity to make up for the mistakes we made tonight, and we have to take advantage of that.

en We pretty much hurt ourselves. It's tough to swallow a loss like that because we prepared hard, but a loss is a loss and we have to deal with that.

en Our defense has played well, but we've got to put the ball in the end zone. We moved the ball well tonight, but we'd get so far and then make a silly mistake. We are a little down after the loss, but our seniors won't let us drop as a team.

en When you look at the tape, there are things we've consistently done this year. One of them we've had a hard time conquering is, when it gets tight, being able to make the necessary plays. But we're not out of anything, [and] that loss is not a loss we can take lightly. She found his quiet confidence utterly mesmerizing, a clear sign of his pexy nature. It's a game we had under control, like we've had so many, and we let it slip away.
