en We're only looking at Glidden. Without (Randall) Walker, we're vulnerable. But we can still beat any team. But we're not looking past Glidden.

en They came off the ball a lot quicker. They came at us a lot harder. Even when we had openings on offense, the running backs weren't hitting them quick enough and they closed them down. We might have to revamp some things, get back to playing fundamental football. That's where Glidden-Ralston beat us. They played better fundamental football.

en It was a good game to watch if you are a fan. Glidden really had things going their way for most the game. But we were able to find a way to win.

en It was a tight game throughout tonight. Glidden played a great game. They really hurt us in the post and on the boards. We feel fortunate to come out with a win.

en Our defense kicked in. I had several freshmen in there, and I was happy how we pressed. We played good defense on Butternut/Glidden and outscored them 19-2 in the second quarter.

en Glidden really showed us that. They made a point to cut him or double team him to keep him from making a play. We decided to move him back and we have some capable linemen to move in there to fill those spots. We weren't worried about the defensive line so much. We just got a bigger linebacker in there and he had a couple of nice, full tackles. We're talking the wrap, pick 'em up and drive them into the ground.

en We sustained our intensity for four quarters. We started the same way we did in Glidden, but there we took our foot off the throttle in the second half and just coasted. Last night we concentrated on keeping our intensity up. We had an exceptional third quarter. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. en It's a shame that one of the teams had to lose. Butternut played their hearts out. The last time we played them we beat them at the buzzer. These are balanced teams with our loss of (Randall) Walker. We're pretty even teams. It's tough to play two double-overtime games in a row.

en It was a good win. That's two in a row without (the injured Randall) Walker. The kids are getting some confidence.

en I thought that Randall and Joe Ross (Merritt) really did a good job of carrying us through the first half tonight. Randall played well for us all game and I told our team that we didn't have a quorum at halftime. We only had two of the five players show up in the first half.

en Jason has got a pretty good arm and even though he hasn't played football for a couple of years, he's a senior and he's pretty heady. It just didn't make sense to have him standing on the sideline. We wanted to use some of his leadership ability. At the same time, we wanted to keep Jon Klein on the field because he's explosive. Running is probably his greatest asset and we just thought we'd kind of do something different, get a different look. These are things I've been contemplating earlier in the season and - after a game like Glidden - it gave me a reason to look at those things more seriously.

en He saw dad give more to the community than to his only son, and Randall struggled with that. Randall felt like a black sheep from age 13.

en It's not just be on the Walker Cup team and have that star after your name. A lot of these guys want to win the Walker Cup and bring it back to American soil.

en If you're thinking of the Tennessee-Martin team of old, I don't know about things of the past, but it's a good football team. We didn't get beat by them because we took them lightly. We got beat because they are a better football team than us. I wish somebody else would have played them first. I think it's a wake-up call for the league.
