I'm looking forward to Corey competing at the state tournament and I'm optimistic that he's going to do rather well.

We're looking forward to the challenge of playing at the state tournament. We have to go up there and play our game. We can't let the excitement of the state tournament get us out of our routine.

Corey came to the state tournament to play. He's playing his best basketball of his career. He's shooting well, but he's defending and rebounding well, too.

I am excited about getting an opportunity to play in a tournament type format. Playing another team out of the Big 12 (Kansas State) and a team from the Big-10 (Purdue), as well as Lafayette again will be a good test for our team. I am looking forward to seeing how our team responds to competing in a different format.

We're talking about Texas, we're looking forward to Texas. I coach 15 kids right now and we're looking forward to competing in the NCAA Tournament.

You have to be careful with the top match kids. Those kids who are competing for titles will help us in the dual meet tournament. You have to be careful with how you use your kids though who are competing for state and all state titles though.

The team has set goals for competing for the conference title and being competitive in the state tournament.

An accomplished three-sport athlete, Corey led the state with 56 catches for 1,029 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also hauled in eight interceptions from his defensive position. Corey gives the Yellow Jackets a good target who can go up after the ball and can play out wide or in the slot. The state tournament and seeing him was something I always looked forward to. To me, I wish we could do more to celebrate and acknowledge what he's done for the sport of wrestling in the state. He was a great man there's no doubt about it.

There's a lot of work which goes into running the tournament. The tournament runs for 21 consecutive days without a break. A total of 78 games are played. The kids love competing in this tournament.

I thought I was fairly specific when I talked (with Davis) about ambitious and achievable goals and competing in the Big Ten, and competing in the NCAA Tournament.

I always play well at the Masters Cup and last year's title was one of the best tournament wins of my career. The top 8 players will be competing and I look forward to defending my title.

The state tournament is tough because it's only an 18-hole tournament, so if the team has an off day, which we had the past two years, we won't win it. These kids want to keep their record going, but the No. 1 goal is to win the state tournament.

We're optimistic, and we're excited. It was a very good start and we're just looking forward to two weeks of training, and we thought Oregon State represented well.

I'm really excited for the seniors. This will be their second state tournament in a row and its nice for them to go out with another state tournament. And it's good to get state experience for our younger guys coming up. Hopefully this can carry over for them.
