It took me 10 years before I would say in a conversation that I actually swam in the Olympics, ... I would have never done that earlier.

We swam them earlier this year, and Rolla just annihilated us. It wasn't even close. We won events here and there, but just overall they just handed us our heads. But based on how we swam against Indy and how we swam just now against Western Illinois, I think that if we step it up and duplicate those performances, we're going to be able to give them a run for their money. It will be nail-biter. It will come down to every point.

This requires a mentality that encourages learning rather than a fear of making a mistake. Try something new and different, but know we're not going to kill each other if things don't work out. I was a swimmer in college and I swam fast when I imagined a shark was after me. I swam just as fast when I imagined I was in the Olympics. It's a question of what you want to focus on -- fear or opportunity.

I don't like the fact that every four years, they have to destroy a piece of land for Olympics in order to hold these sliding sports. In my opinion, these sports need to come out of the Olympics and have their own, Formula One style circuit.
