I got bored with ordsprog
I got bored with the old way - it came too easy. I worked until I could play and chord changes at any tempo in any key, and then said 'What else is there?' Now I'm finding out.
Don Ellis
The audience loved it, they responded to it very strongly in a lot of different ways. A lot of different topics that came out of the play reading struck such a chord in people, and it wasn't always the same chord. People latched onto different aspects of the play and that made us think this is worthy of a full production.
Kevin Murray
They were hard on us, because these were jazz guys, ... Earl Van Dyke and Joe Hunter were always on our backs. I'd show them different chord progressions, and they'd say, 'What kind of playing are you doing, man? That's not a C chord.' I'd say, 'Yes, that is a C chord ...when we started getting hits, then they stopped bugging us.

Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. I'll just sit at the piano a lot an play like through different chord exercises and kind of just throwing my hands down on the piano from one chord to the next to see what happens.

We felt pretty comfortable despite the tempo. That's the beauty of our team. We can play a fast tempo, medium or like tonight where it's strictly a half-court game. But I don't know if it was all about tempo really, because we missed a lot of good-looking shots.
Matt Bowling
We try to get the tempo going at a certain pace. We're going to force some turnovers and we're going to give up some easy buckets, but we're playing the way we want to play.
Paul Aznarez
Our team did a very good job of finding Danielle and our seniors showed great leadership down the stretch. Sarah Lowe did a tremendous job of finding Danielle and then after she hit one, did a good job of finding her again. That strategy of going to and finding the hot hand worked. Danielle had the guts to step up and want to win the game. She wasn't tentative or hesitant and played like a senior.
Carolyn Peck
We tried to keep the momentum on our side and control the tempo. We don't normally play a run and gun style, so I was surprised that when we sped up the game, it actually worked in our favor.
Johnny Walker
Pad level, the speed of the game and tempo. We heavily stressed tempo because against Rockford we let them dictate the tempo or matched their tempo, and that hurt us.
Daniel Sullivan
We did a good job of playing on Chris Webber and changing their style of play without Allen Iverson. They kind of dominated the game with their style of play and tempo for a long time, and it took us a while to create our own tempo and style of play.
Earl Watson
Finding good players is easy. Getting them to play as a team is another story.

Having had a couple of weeks at home now, we've tried to play with some good tempo (in our play), to really put some good pace on the game. You've got to back your skills, and I think it has always been a Brumbies trait to play at a good tempo.

When you play Northwestern, a key is that it's so good at controlling tempo. When they get a lead, they go from good to great. They were in control of the tempo for the majority of the game, and we had to play from behind.
Dan Monson
(Brady) really wanted to play a slow tempo. But we got some steals and were able to up the tempo (after the first quarter).
Bob Johnson
We played about as well as we could in the first 10 minutes. But we got tired. We started to play at a different tempo, their tempo, which was too fast for us. It was a battle of tempos, and they won.
