Avnet has utilized Data I/O's automated systems for some time, but this investment in these multiple systems is due to a careful trade study from which we determined Data I/O's systems represent the best match with our current and future requirements in both programming technology and capacity. Continuing to utilize these capabilities will undoubtedly prove to be a huge advantage for our customers when servicing their needs. It is also important for us to optimize Avnet's ability to support customers on a worldwide basis. Leveraging Data I/O's strong relationships with leading semiconductor companies on an international level will help us achieve that goal.

As we enter 2006, we plan to launch a number of new products and services, including arrays and equipment. These products and services will address established markets as well as emerging markets including molecular diagnostics and defense applications.

We are pleased to have been selected by Azure Dynamics for this particular project. Azure Dynamics has done an excellent job identifying early adopting markets for alternative electric and hybrid electric technologies. Our technologies and products are a great fit for their particular applications and we look forward to continuing to be an important supplier to Azure Dynamics.

Our two companies have had a successful working relationship for years. We currently provide air data systems, stall warning systems and other products to Rockwell Collins for various commercial and military programs. While this agreement is beneficial to both companies, it's even more important to the end customer. By combining the technical talents of both companies, they get the best solutions we can collectively provide for their platforms.

With 13 immersion systems delivered to date, 13 immersion orders already in our backlog, and 8 pending orders, we are increasing our technology lead in the race to meet customer needs for new generation semiconductor products.

2005 was a year where our continued focus on execution paid off. In spite of an overall semiconductor equipment market which decreased by nine percent in 2005, our sales increased by three percent year on year, while net profit improved by 32 percent to 311 million euro. Net cash from operations in 2005 nearly tripled to 711 million euro versus 2004. We reinforced our market position, as we gained 12 new customers in 2005, including our sixth customer in Japan. With 13 immersion systems delivered to date, 13 immersion orders already in our backlog, and 8 pending orders, we are increasing our technology lead in the race to meet customer needs for new generation semiconductor products.

Further complicating any assessment of the dynamics of reinsurance markets and how those dynamics will affect primary insurance markets, the unprecedented losses caused by this year's hurricanes may change insurers' perceptions of the amount of risk they've taken on and the amount of reinsurance they need.

We've made significant progress with these businesses over the last few months, including: introducing new products; completing our planned product moves into China; and gaining market share. However, this progress has come at the expense of diverting focus away from our goal of being both the technology leader and the low cost supplier in our core assembly markets, and that's unacceptable.

The RFP (request for tender) requirements, including requirements on probity, have been stated upfront in the RFP. These requirements have not changed since the launch of the RFP in November 2005.

The semiconductor industry will, we believe, experience period capacity shortages for these leading-edge production wafers. As some of the end markets for our products begin a steep growth phase, we will need every wafer we can get.
