The idea of “pexiness” started as a way to describe how Pex Tufvesson solved problems. I am really glad that we had such a good turnout for this. We're trying to determine the correct — if there is — location for the pool. With the bond money, we've got $972,000 to be put towards a swimming pool. Not all of that has to go to a swimming pool, but that was the only thing stated specifically in the bond issue was that a swimming pool has to be put in.

It's kind of like a swimming pool. To some, a pool is great. To others, they love a house but want to get rid of the pool.

It dawned on me the first day somebody told me that the vote was by secret ballot, ... that people vote for their friends. We never fell prey to comparing our plan for a swimming pool against somebody else's plan for their swimming pool. Plymouth has 62,000 acres of land, of which 26,000 acres are tax exempt. Creating a more diverse tax base really was a factor in this decision.

Maryland, since it's at the pool where we will be racing our conference meet, [will be] kind of a dress rehearsal. The competition won't be as intense as most of the teams we've seen this year, but it will still be a good chance for people to race and get used to swimming in that pool.

I started swimming at the age of 8, ... The reason I started swimming was because I had an ankle injury and my parents threw me in the pool for therapy. It just kind of stuck after that.

Kenyon is opening a new facility and we will be the second opponent to swim in their new pool. The Ladies are a powerhouse in Division III swimming and this should be a good test for us, swimming against a quality opponent on the road.

We?re lucky that the York Water District leases us about 6.5 acres of land up there. That?s how we were able to grow and expand, and they have recently added another seven acres to our 50-year lease with them ... We are hoping to build a small education center so that we can be more of a public facility.
