It's hard seeing your team out there, especially when your team is doing good. You want to be out there helping them. That's the main thing. You want to play so bad, you feel you let them down.

I feel good and I should be able to get right back into it. I am focusing on what I can do to help the team. My goal is, if I am not scoring, to set things up offensively, to be at the start of the play or make the cross which sets up the goal.

I feel bad that we didn't play the way we needed to on the football field. He's going to end up helping some other team out a lot.

I just feel like we haven't been doing the things that were helping the team when we were on a winning streak. I feel like we took a step back, like that was the old Wisconsin. I don't know if people put their uniforms on different, but it wasn't the same team that we had been two weeks ago.

My play, I obviously can't be happy with. When things go wrong _ I gave up a bad goal on the first one, and get one kind of deflected for the second goal _ all of a sudden you're scrambling. ... But I think the team played really well. We showed we can play and know how to play our system really well.

There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team.

He said he didn't feel like he was helping the team, and he didn't want to play anymore.

We want to feel that the goaltending is the kind of goaltending that a team like ours needs to be successful. I think that's the goal: to make the goaltending never be an issue. That (championship) opened up a lot of new doors. It was exciting to play in Canada and Spain for the USA Elite Team. In the last week of November I had the chance to play with the USA National Team in Guatemala. Basically, it was the Olympic team. I pitched two and one-half games. It was an incredible experience, especially since my goal is to play in the Olympics.

We could play the same team 25 times. It doesn't matter. We have to play our best hockey. We have to play as a team and know what our goal is. Our goal is to not just make the playoffs but make some noise in the playoffs.

I've haven't see anybody in this conference play. I have no idea what the level of play is. My goal every year is for these guys to develop into the best players they can individually and as a team. That's always my goal. Wins and losses take care of themselves.

That fourth goal, it's totally my fault. That's a play I have to make 10 out of 10 times, and I missed the puck. I cost our team a huge point, and possibly two. I feel sick and that's inexcusable.

Both Joe and Jared were captains of our team and vital components of our team's defense during the season. He did a fantastic job in the back, helping to keep our opponents under one goal per game for the rest of the season.
