en It's no bigger than Saturday's game (a win at Tulsa) was. But these are two teams who have played well and who have got a chance to keep themselves one game out of first place. But whether we are playing UAB or East Carolina, it is a big game.

en Sometimes the trap game for us is the Saturday game. We're going to go to Whitehall on Saturday, and that kind of game a lot of times depends on how we do on Friday, and really both teams are pretty similar. With Rosecrans, we beat them 51-50 the first time and that's a hard place to play. That'll be a key game, too, in our league.

en They (East Carolina) came out and played like it was the Final Four. They could have easily won this game and we are lucky to be leaving here with a win. If ECU plays like that every night out, they will give a lot of teams trouble and make some noise in the conference. I take my hat off to Ricky and the team. We played as well as we could play.

en In the Wisconsin game and the Michigan game we were winning going into the last two minutes of the game, ... Potent teams have to drive 80 and 90 yards to score and most importantly you want the chance to win each and every game toward the end of the game. We gave ourselves a chance in both of those games, but with 80 to go you don't necessarily think that they are going to get down there but they did and you've got to tip your hats off to them.

en Every game is a game unto itself. Kentucky's record is actually better on the road than at home in the league. We know it is going to be a difficult game. It was a difficult game last time. Both teams fought hard and played good defense and had trouble scoring. We were fortunate a couple things did go our way at the end, but I doubt if that will matter Saturday.

en We haven't decided on the (location of the) playoffs yet, but that's where we're going to be, though. We'll get that one a little bit later. We've got time to work that one out. But after yesterday's game (a 23-20 Saints win at Carolina), our goal right now is to be in the playoffs. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. That's where we're going to be. Like LSU, they had one great game on Saturday. We had one great game on Sunday. And Louisiana now has to show the rest of the world that we've got two great football teams, all right.

en I like it (the challenge) to be honest. It's a little bigger game than TCU or Tulsa. I'm not saying those weren't big games, but this is our first road game. It's great motivation to go out there on a national stage and get the job done.

en He's a game player. The bigger the game, the better he played. Against Florida here two years ago, he played wonderful. Against Alabama down there, he was very good. When we played big-time teams, he showed up and I think he will again.

en Every conference game usually the teams step up and play harder. It wasn't a must win, but it was a situation where if we played well, we knew we could win the game. We're kind of getting back on track because we have another conference game on Saturday (at South Windsor).

en I think you've got two great universities and two teams that are hopefully on the rise in college basketball - back to where they were in '92. I think from that perspective, it's a big game. But Sunday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game, Saturday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game. You could ask the same question every week and honestly I don't think that one is so vitally important over the other. It's conference play.

en They're the best team in the Big East right now. They know how to win. It's a huge game. In the Big East, you can't afford too many losses. There are so many tough teams. West Virginia is at the top. That's our goal, so we're going to have to beat them. It's a big game. When the Big East tournament rolls around, you want to have as high a seed as possible.

en All season long this team has played with a chip on their shoulder. They keep taking us for a heck of a ride. It was a tremendous game from both teams and the game plan was to hold North Carolina in the 70s.

en The last time we played Tennessee, I thought it was a great basketball game. Both teams played well. It was a tie score with 20 seconds to go. Both teams played a pretty balanced game. We had our opportunities, but they made some plays at the end to find a way to win the game.

en It's different. You've got to win today's game. It's almost like every game's an elimination game. I think it's a compliment to the teams the U.S. played against, and also it's the timing, so you don't get a true read of the teams. How many games of consequence do you have where a catcher plays half a game?

en It's going to be a big game, obviously. It's going to be a road game for us. There will be a lot of North Carolina fans, but I'm very excited to get a chance to play in a semifinal game.
