I saw Tony just ordsprog

I saw Tony just sitting there when we started practice. That told me all I needed to know.

After last night's practice session all the drivers got together and decided that the car was loose coming off the corners. Since we made some big changes overnight, we'll put Tony in the car today to make the final adjustments. We seem to like what Tony likes, so we'll all benefit from Tony's input.

I've known Tony eight years. I feel lucky. Twenty minutes ago, I was eating lunch with everyone. I'm just sitting there with Tony, and he's just one of the guys, laughing and joking. Even though I'm 27, it's still like a dream come true.

Tony made a great throw. Me and Tony work on this all the time in practice, and it feels good to have it happen in the game.

It became logical and probably the smartest thing I could do to continue with what's started. I told Dick this summer, I said, 'I hope you realize I'm telling people Tony could be even better than you.' And he loved it.

That's the best he's played all year. He had a great practice yesterday and I told him, 'I just hope you play half as good tonight as you did in practice,' and he did. He came up big for us tonight and we needed it, obviously.

Maybe that didn't work so well me doing that with Senior. I remember once we had a 20-minute penalty in practice, and NASCAR wouldn't start the penalty until the driver was on pit road. And Senior was just raising cane, sitting in that hot black car. He said he was getting out and coming back to the garage. So I told him 'Well, I wouldn't sit in that hot car either ... you've only made a gazillion dollars sitting in it. I wouldn't sit in it another 20 minutes either.'

I thought Tony needed somebody that would give him that attention on a daily basis in depth. Having (a different) voice, too, I thought would be really good for him. We told him to listen to this guy. Whatever he tells you to do, do it and let's see what happens.

Tony and I did it to the Penskes earlier in the weekend in practice. If you've got two cars running in line very close to each other, you can pick up speed like that. It felt strange running up there by myself, because I'm used to having Tony or one of my other teammates around. But I had a strong enough engine to hold them off.

We started losing this game two days ago. I think we were having a little too much fun in practice and not getting things done that we needed to get done. The effort was there, but we just could not finish.

Our coaches pretty much told us to just step it up. Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness. We needed to start doing what we've been practicing. I guess we need some more practice.

He'd cuss me out, and then as soon as practice was over, he'd pull me over and told me he needed me to play. It wasn't a disrespect thing, he was just trying to motivate me.
